If only my night vision camera supported fast charge, CUZ then with new stuff i would be able to charge it in ( /me snap fingers )

165 watts in the charger, but cable only support 140 watts.

charge.jpg

But at least when my new power bank arrive ( +27.000 mah just enough for TSA to allow it on planes )
Well i can charge that fast too, and if not in the car it do also come with a 165 watts gan wall charger

240 watt total discharge available on power bank ( 2 X USB C and 1 X USB A ), sadly my " old " laptop do not support USB charging it need a stupid old school barrel plug to be charged.

PS. In a long summer days worth of shooting, lets just say my phone do not have very much juice left in the end of one of those days if the chrono have been in use all day, even if 100 % charged when i start slinging lead.
But that is no longer a problem 😁
Peashooter
I tested my phone on the charger, it is a old snapdragon 8 phone ( xiaomi MI9 ) and in MAX turbo charge mode it peaked at 20 watts :ROFLMAO:

If i am not mistaken current high end phones will charge wireless at 50 watts, and i assume about 100 watts on a wire.

Fortunately due to my intense phone hate i do not use / need fast charge, i normally charge on a 2 A charger in the car
Who remembers the glory days of USENET?

/me not been around the internet that long or should i say in the early days maybe frequenting other places.
I got online in the late 90ties, eagerly awaiting flat rate ADSL, CUZ i knew with a pr minute payment it was going to be expensive.
Did game C&C and red alert on a acquaintances dual ISDN line, taking turns to play a match on his computer. Handle viking.66

/me remember IRC
I also remember all kinds of nasty stuff on local News servers

ICQ for comms with friends
SpindleB
Well, I'm from a little before then. Had an email address for 6 months or so in 1979 (USAF).
Then went to work for a company that had a pair of T1 lines in 1980 (1.5Mb each)
My first USENET post was in 1981.

Yeah, News Servers and Groups were mostly unmoderated and anything went.
The wild wild west of the internet.
It sure was a lot of fun.
Rules were pretty simple, take responsibility for yourself, if you don't like what someone wrote, don't read it or ignore it.
Just got my 3D printer set up. Any idea what I'm printing?

Dat be AR15 grip
Ezana4CE
Zero, unless it's a 3D printed garter for the missus. And I'd think that would scratch the hell out of her.
It is funny how things work in other places.
Take for instance this tracking update on a parcel from China.

International flight has arrived

Jan 12 2025 07:06 am

· Padborg, Capital Region of Denmark, DK "

I very much doubt that a international flight arrived in Padborg, CUZ while there is a airport there, also one of the 3 "race tracks" we have in Denmark.
Then the runway is just 1000 M long and i sure as hell never heard of any Dane going on holiday on a plane from Padborg.

Second. " Capital region of Denmark "
Padborg is on the Danish / German border in the Jutland part of the country ( that be the sane part of Denmark )
And it is just about as far from our vile capitol as you can get 225 KM as the crow fly or 325 Km if you want to drive between the 2 places ( mainly the E 45 and E20 motorways )

track.jpg
Very unusual i went to bed early, and fell asleep in only 2 hours, resulting me getting out of bed at 4 AM
So had some time to kill before i grabbed my gear and headed for the shot shed.
Being the smart guy i am i TXTed my M8 saying i was leaving home soon, and so when i arrived at his place 50 minutes later, the diesel heater was humming in the shed, which was nice CUZ just below freezing.

I then got a shock opening the door to the shed, CUZ most of the floor was filled with firewood, so we had to sort and stack that before there was room at the 2 benches, so we did, and also cranked up the wood burning oven.

So today’s session was a bliss and great fun was had dispatching the 400 13 grain slugs i had brought with me.
A little windy though so at 125 yards some times a pellet would land 4-5 inches from your aim point, but other times,,,, bang on. 🎯 amd ,most often acceptable inaccuracy.
Firewalker
I've been banging on the keyboard all day, I envy you today!
I'm doing another Avenger re-ringing today. Lovely day, awful guns. I'd sure like to see some better materials used in these guns.
They ARE coming for us!

Ta-Ta Toothie
10 days and counting.

Danes disarmed forever, and in 2012 when they got wise on PCP airguns, they was instantly thrown in with regular firearms, so to get a .22 and up Air rifle you have to take a hunting license, learning things by heart that you can not do with your air rifle CUZ that would be illegal.

Guy in video will see no counter argument from me, CUZ while a bit crazy i can spot insanity easy, and if anything we should do more about insanity in our countries.

PS. i am amazed we have pitch forks here, CUZ that was largely what farmers used rebelling last in 1534 when farmers was pretty much just slaves of the land lords and higher ups in Denmark.
Not that it changed anything, it was still poop until " modern times " hence why so many Danes went to America when they got the chance, CUZ fat chance here.

The issue not even on the agenda here, that’s how whipped Danes are today, a sad shell of their former great self.
Just got my Bulldog M257 back from Airgun Revisions. Rich did the "high standard tuning" plus installed a de-pinger. Thrilled with the performance now. From the factory, with a 3000psi fill, 5 shots would put me down to 2000psi. Now I get 10 shots before 2000psi. Plus before, I had to hold over 30 MOA at 150 yds. Now only a 20 MOA hold over. Really impressed with how well it shoots now. Can't wait to take it out further.Bulldog.jpg
Ezana4CE
Just looking at the scenery in your photo, as soon as you start a thread about shooting the M257 I want to read it. It looks like you're in the right place to really push it out there. I also see you got the longer airtube. What's that attached to the very front of your pic rail?
rcrochte
Yes. I'm in Southern Utah. On 80 acres with nothing around me, so I will be able to push this powerhouse to the limit eventually. The tuning that Rich (Airgun revisions) did is incredible. Didn't expect that much of a difference. The piece on the end is a flashlight.
rcrochte
Rich puts the airtube from the 457 on which makes a big difference. So far I have set up target stands/gong frames out to 150. Will be going further soon, 150 was nothing for this rifle. I have heard of others pulling groups at 400.
Probably not worth the paper it is written on.

One could also mention the so called Monroe doctrine of 1823, where the Americans would remain neutral on European politics and respect established colonies.
WoodWelder
Interesting commentary however, he failed to mention their were others in history interested in buying it as well.....It all seems very complicated to me but, who knows.
I would certainly not want Russia or China to take it over?
Peashooter
No People like that we should at least keep at ATACMS length, but i think they are on their way out as i type, the worlds #2 military clearly not doing too well ATM.
And i am pretty sure if China tried something similar we would soon learn that they are just as inept in the ways of war,,,,,, even if killing a lot of people are not terrible hard even with conventional means.

I am mainly concerned with the fallout of these two colossus on clay feet when they fall, CUZ when the poop hit the fan everyone come running to the west us and you guys.

As i recall during WW2 there was both Germans / Americans and British on Greenland, mostly metrologists, not like there was much of a hidden war going on up there.
And more or less since then we Danes had people run around up there feet on ice so to say summer and winter to prove our claim, other just pop up a conning tower of a sub, look around and go hell no and leave again.
You should look up the Sirius patrol, these are the guys that make a winter warfare course in Norway look like a walk in a park during summer.
Peashooter
BTW i have been up there, seen the northern light explode over my head and just gone Duuuuuuuuude
Had a couple of gigs with Royal arctic line that sail everything up there that they can not make them self, so quite a bit.
These ships sail out of the Danish Town of Aalborg, also some times make a swing past faro islands and iceland CUZ we are nice folks and would not like to see other nice folks want anything.

#2 time i sailed as engineer was also up there on a crab factory ship, though i was shanghaied came up there as sailor and was promoted to engineer in a few weeks,

Lovely place, but the guys, lets just say pay day, and you will not see the locals before every dime is used, though before i came up there a guy got back on the ship with money in the pocket, so same night he stole the man overboard boat and sailed down the coast to a place where he could drink the last of his money up.
Police found him after a few days.
A excellent prank to pull at some urinals.
Of course even if you can muster such forceful stream i advise to use water in a squees bottle.

But anyone " occupied " at the urinal probably be very freaked having a that big caliber discharger right behind them.

I am thinking in these days of not hot enough

As the little oven have a hard time pumping up the volume,,,,, sorry heat in the shot shed.

Maybe upgrade to a proper oven, and instead of piping strait out the back of the shed, go up and out the roof with the not insulated chimney pipe.

oven.jpg
WoodWelder
You still need to use the proper B-vent and clearance rings. Your shed will be nice and toasty!
Peashooter
Yeah the roof are just a super heavy duty tarp, also soon having vapor barrier and insulation up there, so will need a proper & safe pass thru for the 120 mm pipe.
Blue skies, windy, -7°F

Kansas City will get 12-16 inches of snow today.

For once, we have no snow on the ground up here.
Peashooter
I have been procrastinating, it have really been OK weather just daum cold, and even with heat sources in the shed i have not been bothered going shooting.
But if the forecast for THUR - FRI - SAT hold up i will have to go, CUZ by then i will suffering severe range withdrawal symptoms.
Grund here in my part of little Denmark white but only just, but a little more are forecast for tomorrow but we are talking a couple of inches here.

Warm days here ATM is like +2 to +10 deg C, and that is still way outside my comfort zone.
Ezana4CE
-7F and no snow on the ground sounds very strange to me.

He doesn't help much during deer season but he's great for distracting squirrels when I walk through the woods!
Looking foward to the 2025 Airgun Season..Im slowly making progress and learning alot with my custom 12 twist condors and cast slugs..Its been difficult but most things worth doing are..I need to buy parts for my Texan .510 and she will be on the road again..I also am going to be putting a moderator on my Umarex Airsaber...I lucked into the parts..I think i can shoot without vaines and be accurate and quiet with easton 2219,s. Anyways happy new years much thank to the friends and support on AGN!!!!!

How do you plan to shoot without vanes?
Peashooter
Forward indeed.
I will however probably have to forget the RTI Mora, of let me rephrase, i hope there will be something nice a little cheaper.
For instance a FX DRS classic 2.0 with easy to reach " knobs " to dial on.
But i am open, also the plan really was to get a bullpup to replace the Maverick

Also i wish Winter came with FF button, even if such a thing are dangerous to use at my age.
R
When playing around shooting 120 yards with the Airsaber I had a arrow with messed up fletchings so i cut them off and shot it.. To my suprise it was exactly the same right to left only about 3inchs higher than the ones with vaines.. Im going to test and see.. Without vaines will be much quiter...Smaller exit hole... Will see..Wont cost anything to moderate the Airsaber worth a try... To date my Airsaber is reliable has never broke...knock on wood lol
Americans will do any format but metric.

Americans are just stubborn is all… brash, bold, stubborn, often wrong, but mostly good hearted people. Simply striving to live up to an idea in our everyday, dichotomous lives…🙏
Peashooter
I have always said Americans are crazy.
BUT My kind of crazy, so i would not have it any other way.

There are still things we will have to negotiate / re evaluate if / when i get to be the dictator here, but we will deal with that by then.
Miracle at the Laundromat…

Was at the laundromat, Bubbles on Broadway today. While there I noticed this woman trying to load a washer while holding a small baby girl. The lady was dropping laundry so I offered help, she politely declined. But shortly after, to my astonishment she handed me her 3 month old, red headed baby granddaughter…🙈So there I was getting smiled at by a toothless, beautiful, red headed baby girl… Made my year end great… Still can’t believe it happened…

I have a fear of infants.
BUT ! love kids the second you can communicate just a little with them.
Most days however i am glad i never fathered any myself, but once in a while i am slapped in the face and i realize i might be missing out on something,,,, but it is rare.
Of course,,, now it is way too late for me, that ship sailed 30 years ago.

My not so secret wish is to be a grandfather… Hopefully God hears my Prayers…
Not licenced construction going on in my friends fields, these little bastards though, experts in trench warfare, so make it hard for the lone sniper.

Making my point on a gas tank nozzle at 60 M ( zeroed for 55 )
