Gathering Equipment Questions.

Hello all, I am new to the hobby & anticipating the purchase of an AEA HP SS MAX .357cal. Before I purchase the gun I want to get everything I need in hand to use it. I am asking for some budget friendly options. I know I need something to fill with, should I start with hand pump or get a cheap compressor? I would also like to practice with it in backyard so am thinking I need a suppressor. Any suggestions to help me start off on the right foot are greatly appreciated.

Underlever Underpower

I shoot break barrels but I want to have accuracy benefits of a fixed barrel. (Trust me, I'm a scientist and a statistician and I've studied that topic for many years under controlled conditions. Not trying to start an accuracy debate.) If you disagree, let's agree to disagree so I can get to the real point. I want superior aftermarket barrel options that simply aren't available for breakers but I want the freedom from air pumps or ill just use a powder burner.

Here's the underlever rifles I've been able to find all max out around 880 or lower fps for .22. While these speeds are maybe optimal, in terms of accuracy, it seriously limits the range and knock down power needed for humane hunting. The ground hogs see me 100yds out. I need more than 30-50yds or I can't hit them, regardless of accuracy. I want 50+yds accuracy of a fixed barrel with the power of my break barrels like my Walther Talon Magnum. If fps is too high for accuracy, I'll manage that with heavier pellets. I don't want to manage it with reduced firepower from the underlever.

If the break barrel can achieve hundreds of fps higher using the barrel as a lever, why can't an underlever do it using a dedicated cocking lever?

Cleaning PCP baffles

I have had my first PCP for just over a year. It's a Benjamin Akela .22. I LOVE IT! I've put at least 1500+ rounds thru.
It has been very accurate so far. However, I cleaned the barrel and it was still doing amazing, until I noticed it was starting to shoot to the left. I removed the shroud and cleaned the barrel again. Then I dumped out the baffles to give them a look..... YUCK! A lot of black powdery stuff came out and the baffels are coated with a fine powder.
Is this normal? How do I clean them? What are they made of?
Thank you in advance! ;-)

Sheridan 2260MB. Power mod ideas?

Love shooting my Sheridan 2260MB. It's my favorite backyard gun. Any advice on getting a bit more power out of it for small pest control? Or is it asking too much from the gun. Not wanting to need more than one well-placed shot to take down small pests tearing up mama's garden. Nosy and picky neighbors, so I don't think a break barrel would be quiet enough. I have a suppressor on it and it's nice and quiet. Just looking for a bit more power. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • Question
Aproximate Value FWB-300S?

I bought my FWB-300S in person at Champions Choice in the early 1980s. My university's team was using the RWS 75, which I did not like as much as this sweet shooting rifle. It mostly sat in my safe all these years. So, two years ago I sent it off to Airgunwerks to be rebuilt. It should go to someone who is going to shoot it. Just trying to see what a fair price should be on this old champion.

Q

I'm riding this to any air gun manufacturer the Seneca Aspen air gun has a built-in pump I thought it would be me if you could make a built-in pump but like a pump shotgun so when you air it up you're caulking it back just like a pump action shotgun that way the gun would look great and also be more like a real firearm and I believe if you would make it in a 35 Cal 45 Cal and 50 caliber or at least a 45 and 50 caliber it would fly off the shelves because it would have a built-in pump and it would be like pumping a pump action shotgun someone please produce this because the Seneca Aspen air gun is cool but it has no power and it doesn't look that good with that handle the way they have it.

  • Question
$150 scope suggestions

I have an avenger in .22, that I've been using with a Hawke 3-9x40 IR that I got used off of eBay. The problem is that it doesn't have AO and the reticle is for a .22 rimfire subsonic (didn't know either of this when buying) which both don't suit me well on an airgun.

So I'm planning to get a new scope with AO and at LEAST 10x magnification. Also the reticle should be fairly thin and should be hashmarks and not dots. Either moa or mil reticle is fine but moa would be preferred.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Puncher = Cayden?

Good evening, hope this hasn't been covered before.

So my question: I'm aware the Cayden is made by Kral. But is the Kral Puncher the same rifle as the Benjamin Cayden - same parts etc? Parts availability?
Which one would "you" buy, and why..

I'm not able to physically handle before purchasing and am trying to gain all possible information before buying.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Crosman 1322 o-ring/pump seal kit

Hey all! New member from Canada here.
So I have an old model 1322, think it's a mark 1 or 2(has "crosman arms" on piston tube)
Having trouble finding parts, have even talked to a crosman Representative on phone, to no avail...
I'm hoping someone here knows something about it. Such as, do they exist/are the newer model's seal kits interchangeable?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers from Canada, happy plinking!

Diagnostic advice for Crosman Nitro Venom .177

I have a Crosman Nitro Venom .177 that I love, but unfortunately, I can't get it to launch a pellet. Is it possible for the gas charge to leak off on these guns? When I put a pellet into the chamber and try to fire it, there's not enough pressure to push the pellet out of the barrel. It's a relatively new gun with less than 200 rounds put through it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, there is no repair shop within 200 miles of where I live.
