Most variety of diameters only in .22 - why is that? And why undersized?

Why is it that in “.22” cal, most major manufacturers offer .217 and .218 (so they’re undersized quite a bit, and Nielsen goes all the way from .216 up to .219, yet in .25 it’s mainly .25 only, with a few .249 (under), or a big jump to .253 (over). In .30, that’s it, with patriot and Nielsen offering .301 and .303 as well - no under sizing…

N/A  Blessing in disguise?

Could these tariffs be a blessing in disguise for American airgun manufacturers and a few other nations .and is it possible for these companies to say ,drop all guns 10% off retail .could a company corner the market and still make nice profit while satisfying consumers?? I know probably a pipe dream.

FX  FX Panthera Slug Power Kit

I bought the Panthera Slug Power kit and installed the hammer on my .22 Cal, but I'm hesitated to install the pin probe because I'm worried the pin probe won't push the slug deep enough past the transfer port or even to the liner, because it really depends on the slug end shape, if it's flat base, the pin probe should push the slug to the same depth as the stock probe does, correct? But if it's dish base, it won't get as deep as flat base? Do anyone get consistent result from installing the pin probe? I have a lot of Javlin 34gr and 40 gr for my Panthera .22 Cal 600mm, do you recommend me to install the pin probe? If so, how many fps will I gain by that? Thanks a lot!

Diana  Can HW30 main spring fit Diana 240 ?

My diana 240 reached 8000 shots(16 tin can) few days ago and I know the mainspring almost reach the end of it service so I want to do mainspring replacement but I cant find any seller sell that part.
So i do some research and got that Hw30 mainspring is .113” wire x 26 coils x 190mm lenght and diana 240 is .106” wire x 29 coils x 200mm L, both of them use 25mm tube
I have no experience cause 240 is my only gun for many year. But look at those numbers, something tell me that 240 spring cant fit hw30 but that hw’s spring can save my 240
I know this forum has lots of pro springers so Im here to get a confirmation
Thanks in advance and have a good night!

  • Question
Daystate  Alpha Safari

I purchased an Alpha Wolf Safari HP in .177.
The manual recommends 10.3gn Sovereign pellets up to 30ft pounds.Youd think that as this is the recommended pellet Daystate would have included that weight pellet as an option in the factory settings on the rifle. Instead my rifle only lists 13.4 and 15.89.
It’s a pain to use the custom settings as you have to create and save a setting before it can be tested and once saved it cannot be edited to make adjustments to velocity etc.

anyone else have an Alpha Wolf HP in .177 and has that weight listed in the factory settings?

FX  FX Impact M1 hammer spring issue

I have tuned my M1 25 cal to give me a muzzle velocity at the MAX setting. After about 50 shots, the hammer spring adjustment screw backs itself off and my muzzle velocity drops substantially. Before I pour a bunch of locktite on the adjustment screw to keep it from backing off, has anyone else had this issue and what would a better fix be?

Ambidextrous shooters?

I've recently started trying something new. I started trying get my left side comfortable with shooting. I'm only trying right now from bench rest but want to progress to being able to do off hand as well. I've been having some success in getting the mechanics worked out except for my eye. Left eye seems to lose focus even though I don't have problems with my eyes. I suspect that the problem will fix itself the more I work on it.

I decided to take on this challenge because you just never know when you might encounter a left leaning squirrel and I want to be prepared.
