FX  FX Impact Barrel Hold Open Not Working

I took my son to shoot my FX Impact MK2 and he double loaded pellets which got stuck in the barrel. I have not been able to remove the lodged pellets and have a liner on order. FUN.

The bigger issue I’m seeing though is my rifle no longer is doing bolt hold open. What is the mechanism that does bolt hold open when their is no magazine and no pellets in the magazine? This seems to be not functioning as well.

I’m baffled

So I bought an f4 177 for my daughter and a ruger 22 cal air rifles . I have turkey that come through every opening weekend and get one every year. I killed a Tom last year one shot in the head at about 20-25 yards. This was with my daughters 177 as I find it is way more accurate than the ruger. Of course only with certain type of pellets. I had tried many and the best for that gun is the flat tipped
Anyways I’m getting offf topic. I decided to clean them today and looking down the barrel of the f4. After you beak it open with a light from the other end the bore is no longer round. It looks like a football shape with the points up and down. Best I can see is the baffle is out of place and someone slid into the bore half way blocking the bore. I just sighted it in and it’s dead on. I’m guessing this happened on my last shot . Has anyone had this problem?

Daisy  Old Daisy 880 safety

Have old 1981 daisy 880 that I'm trying to restore. Didn't have a safety. Ordered daisy safety button kit with ball and spring but doesn't seem to work. If I put the spring in the trigger guard, the safety will slide but then the ball will push up into the hole in the safety and then just bend the spring when I try to move it back. I'm thinking this can't be original design. Also doesn't clear the firing piece that it is supposed to engage. Hope that all makes sense. Please let me know if anyone can tell me if design has changed and are old buttons out there. Thanks.

HW/Weihrauch  Do I Have an HW30s? 🧐

I purchased what was shown on the Great North Gun Site as a HW30s. It arrived today but I’m really wondering if it is. It came in a Weihrauch box with a SKU and description as a HW30s (see pics attached) but the gun has no checkering On the grip or forestock. The GNG site has good reviews. Are there any HW30 or HW30s users out there that can help clear up this mystery?

Diana  Diana Bandit PCP question

Is this gun‘s rear sight supposed to have a spring around the elevation adjustment screw? I recently purchased this and adjusting elevation yields no movement of the sight whatsoever. I’ve emailed Pyramyd about it but I thought I’d check in here as well. Thanks.

(Putting a red dot sight works somewhat, making loading a single pellet a little tricky, and you don’t necessarily need to remove the attached rear sight, but…just for laughs I also tried taking off the rear sight and put on a small, short 4x30 rifle scope and it worked splendidly as long as I didn’t mind the unnaturally long eye relief with a pistol!)

  • Question
Compressor raising pressure but not filling the gun (auto shut-off in a few seconds)

Hi from Greece.

I bought my first PCP compressor from Amazon in order to fill my two Kalibrguns (Cricket and Argus 60 ).

Amazon

Until now I used a Hill MK5 hand pump using the kalibrgun fill probe strait to the pump hose (1/8 BSP).

In order to use the quick connect of the compressor I bought a 1/8 bsp quick connect adaptor

QC03-1000x1000w.jpg

I connected the Kalibrgun fill probe to the above connector using Teflon seal on the threads to avoid leakage.
When I turned on the compressor (the bleeding valve was closed) the pressure raised and when it reached 300 Bar in a few seconds the compressor shut of for security reasons. The guns pressure was about 180bar.

So it is obvious that the gun valve didn't opened at all. This happened and with the Argus also

For testing purpose I turned on the compressor without connecting the filling probe to the gun and from the probe the air was bleeding synchronous to the pump piston movement with a constant and high flow rhythm.

So to check if the filling probe was for any reason problematic, I disassembled the filling probe from the adapter and I connected it again to the Hill MK5 and did a test fill.
Everything was normal and the gun started to be filled as normal.

-> So, can anybody reply to this question why that strange situation happens?

Thank you at advance

FX  FX impact M3 tune

Hello, new to the thread and forum. Have a question and I was having a difficult time finding an exact answer. Does anybody have a specific tune that they’ve done really well with, with the FX impact and a JSB exact 30 caliber pellet 600 mm barrel 44.75 grain?

Below is a tune that had been recommended, but was looking for different options as well. Thank you for your help.

1st reg 170 bar

2nd 120 bar

Macro wheel 16

Micro 3.5ish

valve 3.5 lines

N/A  Kalibrgun Cricket not indexing

I have a .25 Cricket that has been as dependable as one could wish an airgun to be. With three .25 cal airguns I decided to sell one. Took the gun to a guy that sells airguns. Showed him how it worked, and shot half of a magazine with him. It worked and shot as it always has. I left the Cricket with the guy and he called saying the gun does not work. I got the gun back and it will not index. Does anyone have any input as to why this gun will not index the next pellet?

N/A  O-ring STORAGE & life span

I read a post about this in the past but cannot find it.
I'd like to know the best way to store O-rings, and their expected lifespan in storage, please.

I imagine this will vary with the type of material of the O-ring
The types I use most are:
buna, viton, & polyurethane

Thanks
Edward

  • Question
How do different barrel lengths affect accuracy?

I'm new to airguns and looking to understand more about how different barrel lengths affect accuracy. Can anyone explain the relationship between barrel length and shot consistency?"

I found some info on this forum and google regarding the subject but was unsure of which were true.
  1. Longer barrels always result in better accuracy: While barrel length can influence accuracy, it's not the only factor. Factors like barrel quality, ammunition used, and the shooter's skill also play significant roles.
  2. Shorter barrels are always less accurate: While longer barrels can provide more stability to the projectile, shorter barrels can be just as accurate if they are well-made and properly calibrated.
  3. Barrel length directly correlates with projectile velocity: While longer barrels can potentially increase projectile velocity due to more time for the gas to act on the projectile, other factors like air pressure, barrel quality, and projectile weight also play roles in determining velocity.
  4. Barrel length is the most important factor in accuracy: While barrel length is important, factors like barrel quality, bore consistency, and the quality of the ammunition are equally important in determining accuracy.
  5. Shorter barrels are always louder: While it's true that longer barrels can sometimes help dampen the sound of the shot, factors like the type of airgun and the air pressure used also influence noise levels.

Brocock/BRK  Brocock magazine issues

Have a new .177 magazine for an Atomic XR that sticks pretty bad. It hangs on the last few shots (won't always cycle through). Moving it by hand, you can feel it is a little grindy when first rotating. Has anyone taken these apart? There's a hex screw in the center that I would assume is for disassembly, but it's pretty tight, might be loc-tited, and I don't want to force it or use heat if there's potential for damage, as I am not sure if there are any o-rings in there. I don't want to send it back if it is an easy fix.

Stoeger  Stoeger xm1 bullpup power tune regulator and xl plenum by Huma-Air.

Good morning, let me introduce myself, I am Valter, a new enthusiast of compressed air rifles, I have a Stoeger XM1 Bullpup rifle and I have just purchased a modification for the Stoeger XM1 Bullpup Power Tune Regulator and XL Plenum By Huma-Air, I wanted some advice and instructions on assembly that I can't find and if any of you have already assembled it and found improvements in all directions. Thanks in advance for any replies.

  • Question
FX  Rear air leak

Good day
I need some advice please. I bought a new Fx impact 700mm .22 m3 fitted with a slug liner and slug kit (pinprobe/tungsten hammer and lighter valve return spring)
The 1st reg is on 150 bar and the 2nd reg on 108 bar. Shooting 25 grain 218 H&N slugs 984 fps and grooping is very good at 100 meters. Hammer on 12, mico at 3.75 and the valve 3 turns out. Shooting 30 grain H&N at 935 fps but with a problem

The problem i have is, once you open the valve 4.5 turns and put the hammer on 16 and shoot a shot there's an air leak at the rear end at the magazine/power block rear/barrel area ONLY when you pulling the cocking lever back to load a slug. You can hear it clearly it is not the plenum filling with air. Once you push the cocking lever forward the leak stops. If you turn the valve in say to line 3 the leak stops.
If you just pulling the cocking lever back without shooting a shot, there is no leak. The gun is also not leaking air when standing for days.
Could it be the lighter valve return spring, causing the valve to stay open longer.
Would you recommend to put the stronger original valve return spring back.
Regards
