Air tank possibly dangerous?

I have an omega little "pony keg" air tank that has been awesome for years.
It has 1000 PSI inside and it is stuck. I can turn the valve. Neither will letting the purge open (I expected that of course but I was exploring how broken)

My first instinct was to twist the valve off and I put the tank between my leg and was about to twist and then I thought about what the hecking heck I was doing.
Can our awesome community please tell me how to NOT blow my balls off?

I just want my lil tank back it's really great.

Scope Recommendation for Bullpup

Hey folks! I'm in the market for a new not so heavy scope for my Bullpup (for shooting or hunting purposes) but I’m trying to avoid spending a ton of money.

I’ve heard a lot about top-tier optics, but honestly, I’m not ready to drop a fortune. I’m more about balancing performance and budget. Anyone have recommendations?

I’m looking for something that gives good clarity, decent range, and solid accuracy without being overpriced. Maybe something under $300 (but open to suggestions if it’s really worth it). 💡

For context, I’ll mostly be using the it on a medium-range shooting. Precision matters, but I don’t need pro-level gear for now.

What do you all think? Any mid-tier scopes you’ve had good experiences with I’ve seen a few options, but your feedback would help a lot! 🔍

Thanks in advance! 🙏

Feel free to tweak it as you see fit!

Umarex  Leaking Gauntlet fill port

I recently purchased a new Gauntlet 30 from Pyramyd Air with a leaking fill port. When I contacted Umarex for replacement of the defective fill port they insisted I return the entire rifle to them for repair. When I expressed my concern about sending the rifle to and from their location for such a small part that could easily be sent out in the mail they informed me there were none in the United States and they would have to replace the entire cylinder, another part. I did not want to send the rifle back to and from their location using our postal Service for fear of ensuring damage to the air rifle. I have since removed, cleaned, and polished the inside of the fill port where it is down to a very slow leak which is tolerable. My question. Is this part and or O-ring available elsewhere?

Worrying manual FX

Good morning everyone, I’m new to this forum I hope we will h a good discussion. I have a first question from the moment I got myfi FX impact.

I just bought a impact M4, reading the manual I discover is very important not to go older the regulator pressure, my is set at 135 bar , so if I fill the tank 200 bar I need to check the regulator all thetime when shooting the gun? And if by mistake you go under the regulator pressure, what is going to happen.

Thank you so much for know.

Snowpeak  Artemis P15 5.5mm - location of hammer spring adjustment screw

Good Afternoon all. I would like to know where the adjustment screw for the Artemis P15 is located at on the rifle? I would like to tinker a bit with fps with my current pellets (Hades 15.89gr) which is running at 834fps avg. I would like to possibly take it up up between 875fps and 925fps depending on what my pcp like. The reason for the adjustment is that this is my son's (6 year old) first rifle which he will shoot birds, meerkat and or rabbits with while we are on hunting farms, so he is not precise with his shot placements and I want to go up a few grains in pellet weight or even go to 21 gr slugs if he does miss the head, the impact would be great enough to humanely take the animal down.

Here is some 5 shot groups I took one evening at about 10 meters. The rifle was zeroed on 25 meters with the Hades.

FX  Any recommendations between the FX Impact .30 and .35

Hello everyone,

I am new to PCP air rifles, I am looking at the FX Impact, my intended use is for varmints (Ground squirrels up to Coyotes) from 50 - 150 yards. I will be shooting from a rest a lot of the time but also want the ability to shoot free hand while hiking, any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thank you.

HW/Weihrauch  Broken Spring

The short questions: When springs break is it subtle or dramatic? Do they often look like the one below? If not and you have some examples please post them to satiate my curiosity, and perhaps help educate newbies like me.

The background: I bought a HW50s .177 in the late fall and fitted a Hawke air max 2-7 x 32. Then a fellow member, Ugly John, suggested I get a chrono which I did. The gun chrono’d at 9.5-10 ft lbs. It seemed to shoot fairly well, but every now and then I’d hear a metallic click which made me wonder if I was imagining something. The new gun “twang” went away and i thought it had settled down. Nonetheless, after watching a bunch of videos and seeing a few posts i thought I’d set myself up with winter projects which may seem like a morning’s work to you experienced folks. I didn’t want to start breaking it apart until I’d got all the tools for the job.
Last week I started at it. When I opened the gun I found the spring broken, which surprised me because it was shooting quite well. It seemed that after it broke the longer piece wrapped itself around the shorter piece. The inside of the tube looked pretty clean with no gouging, just a few light scratches.
I’ll post a few photos of the broken spring and the new TBT spring kit side by side - it was buying the new kit which prompted me to open the gun up.

Need help building/understanding a proper filtration system

I will preface this by saying that my needs are a bit different as I am an airsoft user that transitioned to an HPA platform; the amount of mostly educated knowledge on here convinced me it's the best place to ask (especially a user by the name of "Humdinger")

My plan of action:

1. Buy a Tuxing compressor, specifically the TXET062.

2. Purchase a Tuxing Golden Filter.

3. Properly assemble the filter with the best medium.

I will need the above mentioned set-up to fill 0.8l, 3000 PSI bottles so, with these in mind details, here are my questions:

1. On the compressor's page it says it works without oil, so why should I bother with filtering mediums targeting that as well? Isn't water from compression the singular issue?

2. From my understanding, mediums such as activated charcoal are "gimmicky" in the sense that you don't care about odor or similar aspects, just moisture, meaning you'd only need molecular sieves, as they are more efficient than silica gel beads, especially at high pressures, right?

3. The user I've mentioned says you need a good "water separating tower" before this filter, but what even is that? Just another filter full of cotton, so that the bulk of the moisture is stopped before the second filter?

FX  M3 to touch or not to touch

I bought a 2 year old M3 last week it’s still shooting great 22 cal 25.39gr heavy pellets 40fpe sd 4. However, I noticed first time I shot, the first shot was a bit low velocity then all the others is perfect. So I dry fire one shot before shooting. I also noticed that there seems to be a tiny leak sometimes maybe I line in 48 hrs. I would fill the gun to 210 bar and in couple days it’s 200 bar and it would stay there a not move at all. Or like the other day I fill to 210 and its 2 days and no movement. I hate when something is not perfect.

I have feeling that the white oring on the valve rod is having issues, maybe changing shape as I cock and de cock the bolt. I really want to change the orings on valve rod and plenum nose and also polish the valve rod.

However, others tell me if it’s not broke don’t touch it until there is a big leak. Last night I tried using a leak detector liquid to see if there is other leak causing my issues and also to justify opening up the M3. But to my bad luck I found nothing. I tried all the usual places, there are lots of videos on it, but no leak.

I just want to survey what people think open it up or leave it alone. Lol

Feedback on Mundilar's customer service.

Hello,
Has anyone on here ever dealt with Mundilar's customer service?
I have purchased an air rifle from them which has arrived damaged (in France) and they are not returning my emails and I'm getting a little bit worried...

If you have dealt with Mundilar's customer service, how long did it take them to get back to you?

Thanks in advance

Brocock/BRK  Transfer Port data for Sniper XR

Hello, I'm new to PCP rifles and AGN. I recently bought a barely used Brocock Compatto Sniper XR in .22 with Huma reg. So far it has impressed me.

I don't have a chrono yet and have been searching the forums for TP/ Power switch velocity data but haven't found data for a similar model. If I understand correctly, the Sniper XR series ( except mag or 12fpe versions) are pretty much the same, as far as power, design and tuning from factory?

My Compatto has 17" bbl and the TP / power switch has 4 positions.

I was hoping someone might have time to share any velocity data or accuracy experience they have for this rifle using common .22 Pellets. I've been using JSB Jumbo 15.89gr and Jumbo RS 13.43gr with great results.

I'm primarily doing backyard pest control at 60yds or less.

Thank you for reading
