The $2000 dollar gun.

Just thinking about this post. My first gun is this Browning leverage under lever. It was a big deal to buy a real gun and scope. But with Mikes help at flying dragon and a LOT of pellets I could shoot the gun well enough to say I am ready for a TX200 and a serous piece of glass. Then head for the nationals.
Today I dusted the gun off after offering it for sale at the Indiana gun show for 150 bucks.
I have a friend that wants to learn to shoot. He has the 2000 dollars but has no idea what to buy So I’m gonna lend hime all kinds of different guns to take home and practice and learn to shoot. First off is a springer with a creepy trigger.
If he can shoot this, he can shoot anything.
I wanted to sight it in for him at 17. That’s my home range distance and a good start point.
But my point is this gun coast 150 bucks and puts five pellets under a dime at 25 yards with ease.
So does my 1500 TX 200. And a pull the last shot with both anyhow. Haha

Wanted a longer barrel but not a longer OAL and to keep it looking original. 16" barrel. It's one of the rarer ones in .25cal shooting 26gr hades at 860-880fps. No choke so 25gr or so slugs also shoot pretty well. Only a magazine (10 shots a fill if I max out at 55fpe) I prefer to get more shots so I have it down around 45fpe so I can get a few mags a fill. Not bad for a 24" overall length.

Umarex  Notos Bolt Probe Alignment

Not a magazine issue. I have another Notos so I have multiple mags and does it with all of them. Even does it with both the single shot tray I have. Tried with Maple mags, Big Air, and Orion. That was my first thought as my other Notos had mag issues. The probe is noticeably more "wobbly" when moving compared to my other one
Gotcha, mine did it while being wobbly and the issue was solved by getting an aftermarket mag, yours is clearly has a larger issue at play.

Umarex  Notos Bolt Probe Alignment

Big Air Precision makes some nice NOTOS magazines but I read that you said it wasn't a magazine issue.
This video make help you understand the NOTOS bolt and cocking lever assembly. The only difference is that the NOTOS lever is on the opposite side.
The issue with the probe being loose causes hang ups as the pellet exits the factory magazine, because it goes in cockeyed into the breech. Getting a Big Air Precision mag fixes the issue as it forces the probe to only go straight.

Umarex  Notos Bolt Probe Alignment

Hey all. So I have a new to me Notos bottle build. Only had it for about 2 months. It was purchased from a forum member who got it off another forum member if I remember correctly.

I'm having a big issue with the bolt probe or pellet probe, not sure which term is correct. It's not to the typical Notos magazine issue, I have a lot of different Notos mags from aftermarket companies and all have the same issue. It even messed up one of my Maple mags in the process, which was also partly my fault for forcing the cocking level because the pellet was so mangled I couldn't push it back through the barrel to remove the magazine. The probe is extremely loose and moves around until it engages the tapered thicker end, then it sits solid. It doesn't the same thing with a single shot tray when loading. Catches the pellet it a weird angle and lowers the head of the pellets and raises the skirt while going into the chamber. You still have to force the pellet and deform it using the single shot tray, also have more than one single shot tray and happens with both. If I load a single pellet without a tray, which takes forever with my fat fingers and scope setup, the gun shoots great.

My question is does anyone know of a fix for this? Can the probe be tightened back into alignment or does it need to be replaced? Is it a thing to replace? I've looked and haven't found anything for a replacement probe online. Did a search here and didn't see anything on the issue, although I may be searching the wrong terminology.

Hoping to get this figured out so I can have the motivation to track down the slow leak it's had since arriving. Don't really have much motivation to fix it when it takes 10 minutes, definitely exaggerating, to load a single pellet. I've attached some videos to better describe the issue. Any help of insight would be greatly appreciated.

The easiest fix is to buy new magazines, this is a known issue for the notos since it came out.

CS4 arrived, my first pcp compressor.

I haven't shot a Hueben but the reviews indicate it is pretty quiet. May not be audible if the tractor is running. It's shroud is baffled. My Avenger is my only airgun that didn't have reasonably effective baffles in the shroud. And if you decide to add a moderator no tax stamp or permit is required.
Depending on whether I'm further out in the field, I would not have to worry, but I need something quiet when I get near the house. I have an older Rattler 384 thermal I used on my .22LR. Would enjoy getting back to shooting from the lower side of our house at night without worrying about neighbors.

Gamo  Gamo swarm magnum multishot to singleshot...

I recall reading a thread about doing that to a Whisper Fusion Gen2
However, I cannot remember if it was here on AGN or on GTA
I can search later tonight, but you might as well get a head start @Zeke G.

Hope this helps
Edward
Did search and found some info on gta. Seems you just remove the mechanism and it's a regular break barrel. I'll report my efforts if anyone is interested.
