What did you do airgun related today.

Lower Alabama? I’m in Eight Mile. When it cools off enough to shoot in the afternoons (with a fan and a big umbrella), the showers and thunderstorms roll in. Made it out today to get an hour of practice in with the DRS Tactical .25. I cut my deck railing down for my built in bench.

Looks great.
I was able to shoot a good bit today. I would shoot awhile then duck into the shop or the house to cool off then go back out and shoot some more. I run the compressors in the a/c in the shop so filling guns also gives me a break from the heat. A least the temps are dropping some. We may be over the hump.

Looking at a .25 cal and wondering if this is actually any quieter in use than any of the others?
Definitely performs. Ia1350 on my impact .22 700 Shooting 34grs at 975 sounds like my dreamline shooting 25.39s at 890

Thanks for the kind words...
Good chance of rain today and even though it's under shelter I don't like to expose my shooting equipment to all that moisture in the air. It's already bad enough that we have everyday high levels of humidity here in lower Alabama without adding rain.
I'd like to get my .25 Avenger with the Buck Rail Tactical kit out and do some shooting from the new bench but we'll have to see what the weather does.
Might just hang out in the climate controlled shop and tinker with the DLX Windows software for the Pro Chrono instead. I can open the shooting window and keep most of that moisture out.
BTW... I only run my compressors in the climate controlled shop and have yet to see any signs of moisture in any of my guns that I've checked

DIY Daystate GCU v5 (Red Wolf) programmer

Here's what mine is showing in sub 12

I put in your settings and it wouldn't even push the 13.43g JSB knockouts out of the barrel lol....I do want it low power for just plinking in the backyard, like 7fpe was the goal but here is the settings I ended up with, just over 8fpe. I wander why the huge discrepancy in settings. Do you have the redwolf or the pulsar and actually i thought cpu was the same.

Your volts were 48.75 and I had to increase that to 56.025, the pulse durations I added 100 to each of your settings

Daystate  New Daystate Delta Wolf, erratic velocity with advanced setting

Talked to Shane at AoA regarding the long ramp up before the velocity stabilizes in advanced mode. He suggested putting 5-10 drops of silicone oil into the gun from the vent hole that is on the bottom of the metal part of the receiver behind the grip almost all the way plastic part that houses the computer and display. The hole is an atmospheric vent that connects to a chamber that leads to the valve and some moving part with an o-ring. Apparently this o-ring can get dry and cause the type of issue I am seeing. Did the silicone oil treatment and let the rifle sit muzzle down so the oil would get up to the mechanism. Definitely seeing a marked improvement with it taking 4-5 shot to stabilize. Will see if some shooting gets the lube where it needs to be. If not will try another round of silicone oil. If that doesn’t do it Shane is going to have me send the rifle back and they will pull the valve and lube the o-ring directly.

Working on making my own magazines as the factory price is crazy. Got some CARM magazines and the work great but with the change coming up regarding de minimus tariff ending making the delivered price unknown thought I would make some. First ones were filament printed but the rotation was not as smooth as I wanted. Current pictured version is SLA printed. Runs super smooth but the lid where the hinge pins are is a little delicate. Will do more testing and may try a hybrid with a filament printed lid and the rest SLA. Hardest part was figuring out the mandrel size to wind the spring on. Only bought pieces are the flat head screw that holds the rotating part to the body, the hinge pins, and the magnets.

What springer did you shoot today?

95 desrees /62% humidity , not to bad . did some shooting with the BSA break barrel .177 Tenex 4.51 8.2 gr , i should take this hunting squirrels . Very light weight gun and accurate 20 or 30 yards Irons sighted in @ 25 yards. If i sighted it in probably could do 40 yds . easily .View attachment 586632View attachment 586633 if i sighted in @ 40 . ( see the lake way down below this is my back yard range )
Knock me out. So cool. One day. Crow

HW/Weihrauch  Vintage HW30S Courtesy of Air Canada

Since Bob & Doug Air is shut down and I’m not picking Kim up at airport today I decided to peruse estate sales. First one had a pic of what looked like two Blue Streaks, a Daisy underlever carbine, and an unmistakable HW breech block. Couldn’t tell which model from pics. First time I’ve ever seen respectable air rifles at estate sale here. 33 miles away, was rolling in less than 5. The Benjis and Daisy had sold on first day of sale Thursday, but this little HW30 was still there. And it was half price day too! Some wear, some surface rust, trigger guard so loose I’m surprised it didn’t fall on the floor, this girl was used. But, rifling looked good and Rekord trigger on it. Pre-safety. Paid and ran. Got home, tightened trigger guard, grabbed some AA 8.4 that were already on table. Not only did it shoot, it shot great! Beautiful shot cycle, NO buzz, NO twang. Trigger was crisp. Will chrono when it’s not 98 degrees and 110 heat index outside but my guess is it’s close to spec. Date code puts this one at 1967 according to The List so assuming it’s a leather seal? Looks like the metal cap on the end where safety would be on a new one just pops off to fit on a spring compressor but someone correct me if I’m wrong. Neat little rifle, glad I found it. Just hope Bob & Doug don’t expect a thank you, because they’re definitely not on our Christmas list this year.

I wouldn’t fly Air Canada. I would rather fly pterodactyl dinosaur with the Flintstones. Or even walk.
What a score on the 30. Very nice, enjoy. Crow

RAW Rapid  RAW TM1000 My Thoughts 🧐

Great video and nice group at 50 yards. I am also seriously looking at this TM1000 pistol. My idea is to add a precision style adjustable butt stock and make it into a compact air rifle silhouette gun. I really like the RAW Mini as well but they don't make it in .177. I'm thinking of a stock like these or something similar.

I don't have an AR and don't know a lot about their stocks but I believe this would work. Please let me know if I'm wrong. Thanks,
Kenny

love the rounded pistol grip on these old ones , wonderful find worth twice the distance .
(isn't 33 miles considered close in TX. miles ?)
