Quietest, and most accurate

Sadly no where even close in the long hour use reliability. The "Box" only requires some o-rings ... The "Yang" some semi major parts
An hour to change the rings. Then only once a year if you run it hard. Filling a single Avenger as the OP bought you have a LOT more time on the head.

What springer did you shoot today?

I go in for another nasoendoscopy in a couple of weeks, hopefully all clear. I don’t understand your last sentence, have you seen something on the news that I haven’t.🤔
We have cedar here but nothing compared to the cedar of the Westcoast of North America. But very pricey. I call ours swamp cedar. Good luck. Crow

If you started now?

I wouldn’t change a thing. Every gun I have owned has been a source of experience and learning.
I am in the process trinmming the herd to 3 that will cover all my uses.
Looking back I wish I had bought the scuba compressor earlier but until you know the hook is firmly in your lip it is a lot of money. Well worth it of you are deep enough into the rabbit hole.

Quietest, and most accurate

Thanks for all the advice! I appreciate it. Low budget is not my #1 priority, but I'm not quite ready to jump into a $1.5k - $3K gun up front either. Love the look of that Daystate Revere! Maybe someday... Did lots of research and ended up going the PCP route and ordering an Air Venturi Avenger with wood stock. Seems like a good compromise between cost and performance for a first gun. Now trying to figure out what to do for a compressor and a moderator.
Avenger is always a good choice.
Dabble your toes in the moderator world
Reximex Silent Force $30 plus shipping

They are out of the Long but the Avenger should work just fine with the shorter.

Just filling a gun, Yong Heng, reliable and under $200. Much faster than the "shoebox" compressors .

Arizona State PCP championship and AAFTA Grand Prix - August 15, 16, & 17, 2025

Hi Mark,
The AAFTA match course planner turns red when the total course reaches 36T, but 36T is what they want in order to count the competitors score as 100 GP points. If the course is 35.5T then the top competitor in each class will get a 98 or 99 instead of 100 GP points, so don't worry about the red. A full 36T is acceptable and actually required for 100 GP points for the winner of each class.

I mentioned this to the BOG, but they haven't fixed it yet. So, maybe inform Larry so he can adjust accordingly.

Thanks, and like Scott, Air gun Oregon will send two competitors if it will be a full 36T course, otherwise it's not worth the travel expenses. The Hunter class has a tight race for winning the GP this year, and I'm sure that Barbara P. is concerned about this issue as well.

Wayne
Wayne, I believe Larry has planned the course to comply, but I haven't looked at his numbers yet. He sent them to me to confirm, but I haven't had a chance to look at them yet. Any questions regarding the matches at Mormon Lake should be directed at him as match director. I will not be there, so my input is null in that respect.

I would plan on attending and shooting, if I were you, just for the fun factor alone. it is a wonderful venue. The effect it would have on my knees would negate that, so not in the cards for me. Sorry.....

New squirrel feeder = busy backyard

View attachment 582341
Yeah, basically to keep the squirrels hanging around for October and feed the birds a little. Why 50 yards? Well mostly because I can slip out the back door without scaring them off and at 50 you can’t miss from a rest.

I’m next door in Louisiana, crows are smart all over. The first one was on the ground by the feeder, when I shot him the rest flew up in the trees. I had taken my Krait out of the safe from 74 degrees in the house to a humid 84 and, of course, my scope started sweating and fogging up. I was standing behind my wood rack and they couldn’t figure out where I was. I managed to find one amongst all the leaves on the trees and nailed him. At this point I figured it was all over but they just kept calling out so I just waited and wiped the lenses on my scope. I figured out where another one was and shot him, three on the ground. They all flew off but one landed in the top of a dead tree at about 70 yards and I was able to put one in him. It surprised me too that I was able to get four, I’m guessing since my Krait is pretty quiet and they couldn’t figure out where it was coming from, their curiosity got the better of them. Anyway it was a fun 5 minutes.
We do the exact opposite here. We have bird feeders, and shoot the squirrels that come to eat from them.

N/A  Seen an affordable IZH 46M

the first thing is there are no parts, so the pistol is worth more in parts
the grips in great shape and as they came from the factory are 150.00 now or go to Rink, my point at that price it might be hard to lose money
the seal could be fine, and the cylinder is dry and need some oil now the rust is another kettle of fish
mine was basically new in the box Break Free wipe down every time i looked at it but in the middle of the sight rust had formed
the cast parts are asking to rust and the tube, well that has an okay finish and if it is rusted ouch
so rust and not working it to me is a parts gun
the piston seal on Ebay is overpriced but how much the shipping is free and the seal appears to be good quality vs the factory white seal so maybe 10-15 buck over
okay i found it
it is filthy but the rust is on the cast parts grips look good and it has it's box and in that bow there could be the extra seals and sights i would love to see the cocking handle fully extended
i would offer 399.00 or buy it

it would a project

Airforce  Taxen 457 tank question

According to the seller, this is teflon tape.
That kind of sealing tape comes in different colors , me having metal problems 😁 really could not stand blue on a Black gun.. so i would prefer to change it.. I only have found that tape in Black at eBay. Under paintball supply.. but if the bottle is holding pressure there's none bad about it .. and no is not the factory tape..the factory oring that seals that fill port tends to get damaged pretty bad , i imagine that is the reason it has that tape ... i had a few cricket fill probe orings left , that is what I been using , when that seal goes bad .

Take your time guys.....

Back to the raccoons. We had a brief thunderstorm this evening. I was going to go out and check the raingauge, and when I opened the door, and looked out the storm door momma coon runs up and looks in at me. Three of her babies who are getting larger started running up looking for food, so I got a bowlful and took it out for them. I had no sooner turned my back that they were going at it.
