FX  Impact M6 is around the corner

Here's how I'm confident it's fake. Look at 0:27 into the video and freeze on the block.

It reads:
"Made in USA by FX" - highly doubtful.
"Max pressure 250 bar" - FX is traditionally 250 bar.
"Serial Number" - there is none listed.
FX is doing away with numbers, who needs numbers least of all part numbers? It just confuses things.

Screw I mentioned would go inside center of top adjustment screw. Mine is screwed in all the way then backed out 2 1/2 turns. If wasn't included then don't worry about it. Here's installation link.

Results  PSA AAFTA Results - August 10, 2025

At Palmyra Sportsmen's Association our August FT match is run as a shotgun start, we use timers, and closely follow the Grand Prix ruleset. This year we shot a one shot per target course with 20 lanes and 3 targets per lane across 20 lanes. The course had white lanes and black lanes, with white and black faceplates matching the lane color. Following guidance and information collected over the years, we attempted to setup the course similar to what may be encountered at a World FT competition. Those preparing to attend the Worlds in a few weeks got a chance to practice, and the rest of us got a chance to experience something similar to shoot a one shot per target course. A nice thing about one shot per target is not needing to wrangle strings and reset targets while shooting the lane.

It was sunny all day, starting at about 70F in the morning and getting to 85F by the time we were finished shooting. Although it was a nice sunny day, the sun made it challenging to range or see some of the targets that were in shaded or partially shaded during the day. There were light switching winds throughout the day.

The overall course difficulty was 30.1T. The White Course was 30.1T and the Black Course was 30T. No environmental modifiers are included in the difficulty calculations. There were many lanes where the targets were placed in a ravine, so there were several downhill shots on the course, and there were a few lanes that required uphill shooting. The 4 lanes that were located on our range had targets that were mostly placed beyond 40 yards. 25 of the 60 targets were placed at 40+yards.

The black targets were tough to see in the shade, but the color scheme was chosen because it is a WFTF color scheme used at many World competitions. We have heard it has been challenging to those that shot at Worlds and this was an opportunity to experience the same challenges the color scheme presents.

The forced position scores are used to break ties. The decimal number in the score represents the standing and kneeling scores for that competitor. There were two standing lanes and two kneeling lanes for a total of 6 possible points for standing and 6 possible points for kneeling.
Although Hunter Piston is listed as a separate class with one entry; it is notable that Brian Wagner would be Third Place Hunter (combined) with a score of 46, only separated from second place due to the tie-breaker.

Thanks go out to everyone that helped setup or tear down the course.

I didn’t even shoot the rifle before I tore into it. If you’re interested, I have the restrictor washer and factory spring to get a 54 down to the 7.5j . The rest of the rifle is exactly the same as the full power. I would imagine it was quite an easy shooter at that low a power output.

While surfing the web it appears we have a big surplus of these rifles available from quite a few retailers. They are selling for well below MSRP. 500$ CAD ( snow pesos) or 360$ US. The full power models are still selling for 1000$
yes i would be interested in your parts , i have an old 54 with a broken spring , i bought it that way but never got around to fixing .

Diana  Please suggest a scope for Diana Bandit

Who does a pre-zeroed bundle?
Maybe you tightened mounting screws too tight? Try replacement one when you can and LMK. THANKS!!
One of the sellers did. Airgun depot or some other one. Only $10 per service, I think. They just didn't have the right scope or something so I didn't order it from them which was a big mistake.

I didn't tighten the screws too tight, I don't think so, just tight enough so the scope wouldn't wobble.

It will be a while before I get to it but I will post here when I do

Taipan  Taipan SLASH Review (World's Top Semi Auto Air Rifle)

Well, in this video they sure make it look simple, don't know why Taipan says two completely different things. Maybe they want to have they're asses covered when someone does something stupid?

Anyway, great video!

I don't know why the Slash manual recommends not adjusting the regulator pressure, it was very simple and worked just like you'd expect. Talon Tunes recommend using a regulator pressure range of between 120 Bar to 180 Bar.

I have a .25 Slash with the 420 barrel and ran chrony tests for 8 brands of pellets and 5 kinds of slugs. The slug magazines were very accurately machined and only accepted 0.249 slugs. I ran the most of the tests at 125 Bar, 155 Bar and 185 Bar. A ~100 degree turn on the regulator's rear adjustment plate took the regulator pressure from a low of ~120 Bar up to a high ~180 Bar.

When I tried it at 100 Bar the magazine didn't cycle consistently for some lighter pellets. Pellets and slugs all cycled the magazines correctly when reg pressure was over 120 Bar, though that most recent recent video from Barista's and how to adjusting the magazine's cycling should resolve any cycling issues at that lowest test pressure on the reg.

The shot power in the 25 cal 420mm barrel at 125 Bar in the regulator ranged from about 55 fpe to 60 fpe depending mostly on the ammo weight, and at 185 Bar ranged between 75 fpe to 80 fpe. These Slash results are posted in a different relatively recent 8 page thread on Slash tuning, along with some initial Slash test results for power and accuracy from a couple of .22 cal Slash owners on the forum.

I just posted post my .25 Slash Tactical along with 6 boxes of .249 slugs for sale in the AGN Classifieds a few minutes ago, in case anyone is interested.

It'll be especially interesting to see real-world results when the new .30 Slash is released this fall, and how it compares to the new .30 cal K1 being released by Huben around the same time.

I’m On AMission

I am right their with you only here the squirrels eat around 1/2 pound of birdseed a day. I get 1 to 4 a day , the Fox and Bobcats eat well .
I was popping European Sparrows last week and observed a Grey squirrel setting on a fence post calmly eating one.

Not working out at all, unfortunately.

I couldn't zero the NcStar scope at all. Just kept hitting the exact same spot even at extreme opposite settings, round after round, its like adjustments did absolutely nothing. Sent it back and got a replacement one but yet to install it. Idk if the scope was bad or if its the user error. I have zero experience, I thought I screwed everything together tight and ot should've been simple, but maybe there's some nuance idk about.

Wish I bought it pre-zeroed as a bundle.

Rare airguns ?

Only rare in the fact that I've yet to see another rear cocking American classic with this furniture. It had a rotary sleeve bolt with a magnetic probe and shot bbs or pellets in its original form. It was my dad's bought new and it was my first air gun 30 years ago ad a second hand gift.

I updated it and rust removed what I could, the barrel was shot out with bbs.

If anyone here has a true interest in vintage and historic air rifles the Daisy Air Rifle Museum in Rogers, Arkansas is an enjoyable couple of hours.
I was amazed when I found out the Louis and Clark Expedition included an air rifle in their armory or that the gunners on WW2 bombers were trained to lead moving targets with specially made bb guns.

Got the rifle finished up while waiting for parts for another impulse buy. The new ARH spring got a delrin top hat made and I used the factory spring guide as it was about as close to a perfect fit as I would make myself. The steel washer with the factory guide was polished to a mirror finish, and burnished with some ARH moly. I also reused the factory piston seal , I didn’t see anything wrong with it although I found it to be a little tight before I sized it to my liking.
I mounted an Athlon 10 x 42 in the lowest rings I had available , still too high for a good cheek weld. A new lower set is in order. I just finished sighting in and tensioning the sled to where I found it to be most accurate. While also playing with the stock screw torque. At 35 yards shooting either the 10.3 or 8.4 JSB’s one ragged hole groups. I’m pretty happy with the way it shoots. The sled action is quite different to any other springer I’ve ever owned or shot. Once I put a ton of pellets through it I’ll see what I’m getting for velocity, I’m not chasing power on this one , just want a good solid performer with mild manners.
I did have to make quite the elevation adjustment on this scope . I’m thinking illl have to go with a droop mount to get it closer to optical center. Any suggestions on a good droop mount for a 30mm scope?

Vevor water cooled, looks like a GX CS4 clone...

Looks like they added water cooling to standard 3 stage cylinder of square box compressors. Looks like 1/2 the volume of coolant of the cs4. Should work pretty well. The square box 3 stage were pretty good, so long as you didnt overheat or start under pressure.

Other  Break Barrel VS. Underlever

First off get past 10 yds. At 20 meters I have shot thousands of groups of the bench with 2- D54s, a 300s, Tx200, and a LGU in .177. Also a D54 in .22. The LGU and TX200 are a toss up but are my choice. If the LGU had the TX triggering would probably be the winner. The D54 in .22 is not out of the mix . 5 shot groups. But the LGU and TX have the most groups that look like 1 not quite perfect hole, but with 5 pellets. It also holds up shooting dots.so, if there was a fixture to shoot them out of I think the LGU might win. With human input the TX with its trigger.

Recs for someone to restore old Daisy 880 Ted Williams rifle?

This model can shoot bb's or pellets.

I've been out of the hobby for a while and need someone to fix up an old Daisy 880 back to working condition. Anyone have any recs? Thanks.

Keep the old Sears stuff alive! I have a Ted Williams shotgun 😁. Daisy 880 rebuild parts are on amazon and other places there's not a ton to them.

Other  Break Barrel VS. Underlever

I have two of the HW 97 rifles. Easiest cocking and shooting guns I have, also lightest weight. Only downside I see is that the front sight is fixed. Loading can be a little tricky, some pellets just do not want to fit in the pop up breech.
pop up breach on a HW97 ???????
