Red-dot sight

I'm a new to air guns, and to this forum. What type of air gun will do the least vibration damage to a red-dot sight? I have a Holosun 403B and heard that a spring piston will destroy a red-dot. A gas ram a little less destructive. And a PCP will do the least damage. I'm getting older and need to shoot with two eyes open. Thanks for your feedback.

What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Some good shooting fellas. Thank you for keeping Thomas’ thread going. I haven’t been contributing lately. Been trying to get our house ready to sell. I’ll try and squeeze a few targets in when I can
Steve, good luck with the sale of your house! I hope you get some target practice in in the meantime 👍.

Very interesting, but that was the point that I think you were trying to make and that I refer the yes have a little bit too much spraying from the factory, but of course with use it’ll settle down a little bit and then we’ll have more adjustment. Maybe you should try again with a little bit lower pressure on the Reg. Maybe 1600 psi would do it.
My point is to find a spring that is more optimal at all settings. I've tested the original from reg settings of 1100 - 3000...but that was before I figured out the valve body problem.

Yes, it is possible that the weaker spring could have been balanced at lower reg settings. I could have dropped down to lighter pellets too. It was just too weak and I didn’t waste time trying to find a tune for it.

I haven't found a commercially available spring or combination of springs that look like they'll work.

So, I'm going back to testing valve-body positions v reg settings and fine tuning with the xfer port.

I'm not giving up on finding the right spring...I just have too many projects at the moment.

PCP Rifle  SOLD SOLD – .22 Benjamin Marauder Field & Target with Lothar Walther Barrel Model #BP2264RLW

Up for sale is my Benjamin Marauder Field & Target with Lothar Walther Barrel. I bought this rifle several years back from Pyramyd Air to shoot iguanas. It has definitely served its purpose, but I usually shoot with lower power .177s to be more neighborhood friendly.

This Marauder is in nearly perfect condition. The rifle is stock, except for two alterations:
  • The “lawyer spring” has been removed from the trigger. It now has about 1/8” of travel at about 7oz of first stage, then breaks at about 12oz total. Put another way, 7oz first stage and 5 oz second stage.
  • The original wood screw that secures the rear of the trigger guard has been replaced with a machine screw threaded into a t-nut. The original installation is a very poor design.
Rifle and one magazine will be well packaged including original box.

$525 shipped to your door. PayPal F/F or Zelle preferred. Willing to discuss alternate payment methods.

The rifle shoots very consistently and accurately as evidenced by the chrony data and targets below.

Thank you for your consideration.

Gx filter is here

You want it to blast the water out. Slow opening will lessen how much is expelled.
At 3000+ psi? LOL, no. Even if you barely cracked it, moisture in the bottom will expel quickly. Two or three SHORT bursts and all the water is gone.

The compressor traps the majority of the water.

N50 at 100 “In The Rings” Slug Challenge

FWIW... a friend of mine had a 30 caliber boss and I shot it a couple times and was surprised that the entire site picture disappeared during the shot and I had to refind the target every time. The gun was fairly accurate, but that jumpy part was annoying enough that I didn't wanna shoot it very much.

Mike
Thanks for the reaffirmation Mike. I’m not a .30 longer range BR shooter, so I’m taking this all in.

N/A  What gun amazed you?

My FX Boss (.30), Royale 500 (.25) & my recently acquired Edgun R3 long slugger (.22). I don't keep guns that don't amaze me. My bar (for satisfaction) has been set very high. I realize the accuracy my guns can achieve & I won't settle for less. It's not that I planned it, it was purely the luck of the draw that I ended up with what I have & all 3 never cease to amaze.

N/A  The most shots per fill....

Uragan 3 in 17 cal/ comments on it??
I love mine the only reason I returned mine was because they sent me a second one rifie by accident. I ordered a v3 .177 from Krale, received a .30 500mm. Spoke to them about it, did about half the process for making the exchange for the one I ordered and then I changed my mind, spoke of them, told them that I would keep the dirty caliber, and they said, okay, but for some reason, I still received the gun. I contacted them and I sent it back but it was great. If you love your experience with the .25 it will be the same, just quieter. No need for a mod either. I went through like 5 mags and decided to see how far along I was and barely went through 40b 😂
