Has the AAA slayer been ended?

I dont see the slayers on their website anymore. I was trying to get a lower reciever for my 357 but it never happened. I messaged him over on ham a couple times but no response. I can only assume that means he never made the lowers, he didnt have any left, or he doesnt have time for customers. I wont be buying anymore AAA product due to lack of overall support. The slayer is a nice package though so its a shame it has to be like that.

i'm very new to airguns. That said, prior to delving deeper into the subject i think many trust a well known seller to carry good quality products and offer dependable service...so i don't think it's out of the order or irresponsible to consider going to a well known shop such as for example MidwayUSA.

Sure, caveat emptor and always best to carefully research and read threads and reviews but, once upon a time i worked countless hours a day....i didn't either have the knowledge, experience or to be frank, the time to do all of that...and i would just go to a trusted online seller with a good reputation and fair prices.

i guess i understand
Midway simply told the guy we can't help you go to Hatsan poor guy I wish I could tell him about Pyramid. But I bet for the lesson he learned at that experience of loosing a $1,000 he will never buy a Hatsan product ever again , neither will I.

PCP Rifle  WTS Notos - So Cal Inland Empire, Perfect, Zero leak, Bone Stock. $190

Given how much shipping would run and the lower cost of these units, not sure that it is worth shipping.

I purchase a new Notos and never modified it. It is in perfect condition, never dropped, damaged, or repaired. It also holds air perfectly - after about 2 months of not shooting it, the air tank still has not leaked. I find it remarkably accurate. Includes original box/packaging.

$190, pick up in person so you can check it out. I will bring a trap so that you can fire into it to make sure it is operating fine. In all, I think I may have about 400 pellets through it. I got it for pesting and ended up using a more powerful PCP for the task.

I did not bother to pull it out of the case for photos since these are known items.

No gimmick. If you want a Notos in the original box, here is a good unit.

Thanks.

Air Venturi  No leaks...but no pressure?

Gentlemen;
So I recently replaced the orings on the gauges...no big deal. And then the weirdest issue I've ever had. Filling from my compressor, I simply cannot get any pressure to build in the tube (Avenger Bullpup).
Checked the gauges for leaks-none.
Checked the barrel for leaks from the valve-none.
Cocked to take any pressure from the valve-no issues.
Checked the foster fittings-no issues.
Used the compressor on two other guns-no compressor issues either.
Not a single hiss from anywhere, even got soapy water all over the Avenger.

I'm stumped...

30-Yard Challenge

Shot my recently repaired RAW TM1000X .177 today. Martin fixed my barrel/thimble set up to ‘center’ pellet from probe to chamber. Previously the pellet probe was slightly tilting pellet into chamber causing frequent random flyers.

Shot 5 cards, one card with 10.3g at 937 fps was a throw away. I need to lower velocity, but not sure to what speed? The ES was less than 10, but I think it is toofast as I was getting some slight unexpected flyers.

Here are the four cards:

192-13X
194-12X
197-14X
199-15X ( previous 199-17X )

Wind was light at start, but picked up in the last hour.

Very pleased now with buttery smooth cycle action. No random flyers.

Still trying for a 200 30Y Masters with this rifle.

Because people will continue to buy the brand because of price. No matter the quality.
I understand this reply , but the price was very high for the guy at Midway a $1,000 + for nothing. And Quality there is none at all for him. That's why we need to stand together around the world , and not let the low price nothing for a $1,000+ be available to anyone anymore.
I think most reasonable people doing their due dilligence prior to a purchase would easily find that Hatsan doesn't have a fantastic reputation. Unless they take some time to research, they might miss that detail. The simple fact is that probably 90% of the people out there buying airguns have never visited this site (or others like it) and will make that purchase because it comes in a few dollars less than a Marauder and gee whiz look at those velocity numbers! Not sure what you can do about that.
Only thing we can do make a post like this to boycott them.

HW/Weihrauch  MK1 HW77 Front Sight Assembly Question

Thanks, Ron and A. G. R. Mine looks to have a hole with something in bottom of base, can only see it when you release the lever.Possible someone tried to put a screw in, no idea. I was going to look through a loupe and get closer look at what’s on underside of assembly anyway, so will use it to check for cracks. Sight blade and everything intact on mine, just suddenly decide to start moving.

What pistol did you shoot today

What did I “Fix” Today…I am on # 2 out of 3…S & W…78G & 79G Air Repairs…# 1..wasn’t to bad just leaking at the piercing seal..top end was fine…Butt # 2..well we all know what that means..”poop” 💩..this thing was leaking like a macaroni colander ..full tilt tear down…this gun looks new …but never judge a book by its cover..how true…it has never been apart…parts were stuck but good …managed to get it apart and replaced all the seals except the valve…the one in the kit was plastic junk…was able to flip the seal..ok pur it all together and the cocking lever was sticking …took it apart 3more times..nothing wrong that I could see…I never checked it first ..to know if it was like that before…this must be a later model it doesn’t have a adjustable trigger…well it hold air and if is functional …by the 2nd CO2…it seems to have fixed itself…right now I don’t know and don’t care ..it’s working…not to impressed with the grouping so far…let’s see if hold air tonight and I will give it another “SHOT”…lol

How do you get that red dot on that paper plate? Looks printed on.

Scope recommendation for drs tactical

I have (5) Hawke Air Max 4-12x50 AO because I don't like SF and because the reticle covers more than sufficient elevation to cover 25 yards to 160 meters at 12x. It may not be the best choice for your application, but that's my preference and why.

I will be interested in your decision and why your chose that solution.

N/A  Webley Hurricane

The Tempest and all the other variants has the barrel above the cylinder to create a length which could correctly be handled as a pistol. It makes for a very appealing design. However, while far more appealing than any other pistol (the Crosman 150 and Abas major accepted) it has the piston moving rearward.
The original thinking was this rear moving piston would allow for easier control of the recoil, going directly into the palm of the hand. Sadly it never worked as imagined.
The recoil created a pivot point just ahead of where you grip it, causing a downward jump.

The key to dealing with this problem, is getting the pellet out of the gun as quickly as possible.
The gun operating in the pop gun phase, it requires fast start pellets. 7 grainers......that seal well.
A hobby in .177 can get out at up to 480 fps if the gun is set up right and it works.
From here, you should not fight the recoil, but go for a light hold and let the gun recoil.
Lighten the trigger using the tips I mentioned and practice with it to repeat the hold.
I recently had my Tempest resealed, but I'm only getting 365 fps with Hobbys. I do get 425 fps with 5 gr RWS. Something is off, but I have no idea.

Looking to get into the hobby

Howdy,

Just join the community and looking to get into the hobby. Mainly for pest/varmit control around my property here in Texas plus get the family more involved with shooting. Have a cheap ol .177 I use to rid the yard destroying armadillos around my property now. Only prob with that is gotta get close and head shots only. Hoping to find something in the pcp line to give me more reach and ability to go from my back porch. Been watching a lot of videos and now researching this forum to learn more about this hobby. Glad to be here

Daisy  Daisy 880 -- any benefit to lubing steel BBs ?

My buddy bought a Daisy 880 pump rifle that has a rifled barrel for shooting .177 pellets and can also shoot steel BBs. He only wants to shoot BBs because he wants to be able to keep his eye on the target while pumping for "follow-up" shots. So, for him, it's a dedicated BB gun. We both know that BBs are not accurate (compared to pellets). We both know that the rifled barrel will get worn down by shooting steel BBs through it.

So I started asking myself these questions.
Will lubing the steel BBs reduce the wear on the rifled barrel?
Will lubing the steel BBs improve the accuracy in any way?
Is there a way to intentionally foul the barrel with lead (using lead pellets somehow) so it fills in the rifled grooves? The idea here is that maybe the "leaded-up" barrel would be more like a smooth-bore BB barrel (temporarily).
Will lubed BBs "gunk-up" the BB reservoir or cause any problems.
Are there steel BBs available to buy that actually eliminate the wear on the rifling and actually fill in the grooves of the rifling? The would have to be steel in order for the automatic (magnetic) BB loader to work.

I know these might be silly questions, especially since we're talking about a cheap $60 BB gun, but still -- what do you guys think?

Scope recommendation for drs tactical

I'm planning on picking up a drs tactical 500mm and need some scope recommendations. Been out of the airgun game for 10 plus years and don't really know what's what.

As I said, I settled on the drs tactical .22 500mm. Planning on mostly shooting pellets, but may play around with slugs. Use case will be pest control and plinking at 40-70 yard. The max distance I see myself shooting at is 100-ish yards. Max budget would be $500ish, but if I can get away with spending $200, great. I don't really want to waste money on a scope that's meant to shoot at 500 yards when I'm never gonna touch that distance

Some scopes I've looked at so far

Vortex diamondback tactical

Vortex venom

Athlon talos

Element helix

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance
