HiHave you attempted to test this with pellets? This will greatly change the result, as the ammo blocks the pathway for the air to come out the front and forces it into the baffling passages.
I believe I would like to have a Taipan in a bullpup. I learned more about airguns from this one post than all the others combined. It's a great read if you have the time. In this post I explained my situation. I learned a lot from many good people here in Airgun Nation. I appreciate all the help I think I will someday be able to acquire a few top end airguns I can pass down to my family. I I used airguns as a type of therapy, and lost 135 lbs I got so strong I gave myself a hernia lol.OldVet - are you looking for a "black rifle" (ie short AR style) or are you a traditional walnut and steel bolt/lever action?
The rounded head or "dome style" pellet is self-stabilizing, similar to a badminton birdie and pellet guns are designed around this. Slugs, on the other hand, utilize spin and speed for accuracy, just like a football, so slug guns are designed accordingly. Pellet design that moves away from the rounded head skirted one can impact self-stabilization. WMI’m new to the airgun game. Are there different types of .25 caliber pellets? The only kind I’ve been able to find are the rounded head or “dome style”. I’m just curious if they have a pointier or more sharpened head or something more thick like a slug.
I’m filling from 4000 to 4700 trying to hit 4500.It could be two things , first , most gauges do not agree with each other , also when you compress air it heats and the pressure reads higher than when cool. The best way to fill a tank , especially from empty , is to do it in stages , letting the tank cool and the pressure to drop . If filling an empty tank , I always do it in several stages while letting the tank and compressor cool.
i hear that for sure. shadows are difficult and the optics are no match for good glass. I think there is a time and a place for it. I think for an airgun with such a major ballistic lob trajectory, if the LRF can truly dial in hold over, all the clarity arguments are negated. To be able to get to zero at range with a push of a button is absolutely WILD.Love the the quickness of the digital range finder. Much more efficient than ranging with a handheld then dialing. This aspect alone makes the digital optic tolerable for hunting at reasonable distances. Problem with them is clarity as you zoom. It’s horrible compared to a good traditional scope making the digital not really a good choice for precision paper shooting. In my experience walking through the woods encountering many different lighting areas the digital scope is always off
bahahahaha. perfect!lol my daughter heard the song and started singing along… then i called her over to watch squirrels die.
absolutely love it. at this point the limitation is consistency of the dynamic and my shooting abilitiesGood shooting! How are you liking the zulus?
