Did a power tune on my Zelos . Worked the reg , and hammer spring together gentle increases untill the 28 grain HP slugs were going 900 fps.
2750 on reg 5 turns in on hammer spring. That's it there is no more. 50.5 ft- lbs. Wanted 920 to 950 but will have to get , and use the 25g slugs for that.
Reason for fps increase want reach out 100 yards for accuracy test , and fun of it.

If you look at my original post you will see that I did try it with pellets and it was louder than the stock air stripper.
It was a small sample of about 5 pellets each (not in a soundproof room and taking other ambient noises into account, which applied to both scenarios, thereby comparing apples to apples).
I also posted all the specs that I tested it with, if you want to attempt to replicate it your self.
I have not shot the version with the tube that I inserted, with a pellet yet.
However if it is quieter than the original without a pellet , it can only get quieter with a pellet.
Also with the stock whisper moderator, there is a distinct metallic like clang, which goes away with the tube (thus reducing the sound signature).

I believe I would like to have a Taipan in a bullpup. I learned more about airguns from this one post than all the others combined. It's a great read if you have the time. In this post I explained my situation. I learned a lot from many good people here in Airgun Nation. I appreciate all the help I think I will someday be able to acquire a few top end airguns I can pass down to my family. I I used airguns as a type of therapy, and lost 135 lbs I got so strong I gave myself a hernia lol.
I have surgery on the 28 th. I'm in great shape tho , so It's really no concern.
I love airguns , and killing cans , and bullseye's.lol. Very grateful for the members here. OV.

The rounded head or "dome style" pellet is self-stabilizing, similar to a badminton birdie and pellet guns are designed around this. Slugs, on the other hand, utilize spin and speed for accuracy, just like a football, so slug guns are designed accordingly. Pellet design that moves away from the rounded head skirted one can impact self-stabilization. WM

Is it possible to set the gun up with the chronograph removed and just have the barrel? This is after one sets up the Advanced setting in all the configurations needed for a particular gun and the chrono is no longer needed. And if yes, what does this look like?

How did you cut out the spinners, laser, waterjet? I'm making something like this for pistols from stuff I have already have and 3d prints. Nothing as nice is this though.

Yeah, I have the TNC635R and that's one of the reasons I went with a riser instead. The other is the price. Just can't justify the price of that thing.

The best way to fill a tank , especially from empty , is to do it in stages , letting the tank cool and the pressure to drop . If filling an empty tank , I always do it in several stages while letting the tank and compressor cool.

I’m filling from 4000 to 4700 trying to hit 4500.

i hear that for sure. shadows are difficult and the optics are no match for good glass. I think there is a time and a place for it. I think for an airgun with such a major ballistic lob trajectory, if the LRF can truly dial in hold over, all the clarity arguments are negated. To be able to get to zero at range with a push of a button is absolutely WILD.
