@Bander124 I hear ya. I grew up hunting coons with dogs, so I'm very familiar with all of the above. If I have a game dog hound or good sized terrier mix then I let them do what they want. Dogs here mostly roam so if they have gall, they will fight anything out here. I'd encourage you to buy a thermal scanner. Just don't be too disappointed if they don't typically come while you're out waiting for them.
Out waiting consists of glassing out my open window. The coup is about 40 yds out and the brush line is 60yds. I mostly listen to the goats (yard dogs) snort or stomp. It doesn’t scare anything away but lets the world know they’re not happy. Next weekend I’ll do what I youst to do and tie a chicken leg to a bell. Land fishing. Oh my plan is a scanner once I recoup from the vacation. It would sure help in finding the ducks when they decide they’re not going to go to bed.

Crosman  Ever buy from Airgun Classfied Ads? 167 Crosman

I have not bought from the American Airguns classifieds very often
However, here are 3 sellers that I have dealt with and consider very trustworthy
- DAVIS
- LEON MONTGOMERY
- MARC D

Hopefully other members will verify these 3 as well as chime in with their own recommendations

just my too cents

Growing up I’ve seen lots of my dogs get messed up because of coons. They are of the street fighting mentality it’s always in their advantage. I have them pull my dogs in dens or try and drown them. I guess I could let my Great Danes have a go at it but I’d rather not mess with the dogs getting cut up. I’ll just bait and wait. They seem to think the ducks and chickens are the bait. Man I’m getting more and more willing to buy a thermal…

Diana  Sight replacement

I have a Diana 48 and I use a scope so there is no need for the factory sights. The front one comes off with a set screw. Is there any type of weight or muzzle device that could replace the front sight? I use the gun for plinking and possibly for some field target shooting.

Thank you!

Bunny Buster Buck is a big baby. But he is pretty.

He got a bunny yesterday, 2nd this year, and I had to finish it with a shovel. I tossed it over the fence like a good neighbor would do. I am sure coon had it in the culvert on the other side of the fence.

The other two help chase bunnies but can’t even kill a chipper.

Same coon I saw a week ago, has no fear.

Umarex  Notos first shot is off

In my recollection, whenever I had a random massive deflection like this it was a slightly loose barrel or moderator. A couple of shots shifted things to a happy place but when the gun was transported, it got out of whack.

sorry, that's all I got, best of luck!
Thanks, the chrono should be here tomorrow so I can get a little data then. Hoping to get it figured out

Lou, I’ve got to be honest with you because this was the match that I was hoping not to read the results of. I saw Joe’s last two scores looming in the shadows and I figured when he posted his 3rd match that he would instantly move everyone down the leaderboard and boy I was right, arrrrggggghhhhh. I hate it when I’m right.… Congrats on another fine match Joe.

Huben  Huben GK1 Loading Question

The issue is when the lever inadvertently slips or is flipped down. The manual advises against slamming it down and fully pressurized makes for a forceful slam. It seems logical to think that there is less chance of damaging something if it slams shut under minimal pressure.
Ahh....yes. This makes sense. I find that the V1 and V2 lever direction is less prone to this. I don't know why Huben changed the lever direction in V3 onwards. I like the V1 and V2 more.

I hadn’t had any for so long now I had debated parting ways with my .30. Glad I hadn’t because I’m 4 ducks short. I got one a week ago one before that broke my live trap and one last night was caught mid jaunt to my coup. Didn’t have the gun with me. So now I’m waiting tonight for one to come back. They have been steady on showing up according to my trail cam. Good thing I kept my .30 after all.

What springer did you shoot today?

Spent most my time working on range, on the 46 yd. range. Was cleaning my wood shop a found a pile of plates.
IMG_1990.jpeg

Also tried to drill a #6 wood screw through the plastic base of these army men. These guys are a nice challenge at 46 yds.
IMG_1992.jpeg
Just twice slipped off on the throbbing finger. Then I set up a jig on the drill press and drilled a hole in each base.

Got a bag of 300 of these for 20 bones. Sometimes you have just a leg to shoot at. Great targets. Crow
