Zeiss Conquest V4 4-16x50

Optics Planet claims to have it in stock but no reviews:

I’ve seen “reviews” for this model on other sites but none seemed credible; the reviews were something like “great customer service, great scope”... not much to go off of. If I had just dropped a grand on a scope, I would hope I had a bit more to say about it than “it shipped quickly”.

Yeah, I think it would make the ultimate hunting scope for an air rifle. I have been asking some of the dealers every few weeks if any arrived yet , so far no. The lighted floating dot is much better for my eyes than the whole reticule lit up.

I did talk to someone who said the lighted reticule on the Zeiss was not really good in daylight, but don't know that for sure. My eyes are at the point I am using lighted reticules all day long.

Yeah, I get it... I used to have an Airmax 3-12x50 and often used a small amount of illumination in the daytime; it just seemed to make targeting easier/quicker. And I have pretty sharp eyes.

I swapped out the Airmax for a Leupold 3-9x33 EFR because I wanted less weight but do sometimes miss the illumination. That’s part of what intrigued me about the Zeiss scope mentioned in the original post.
