YRRAH's FX Crown arrived to my Dealer today. How do I feel!

Sorry to see that Harry !
I received a RAW .30 caliber not that long ago -where the box was completely soaked - water through to the plastic wrapping of the rifle -luckily there wasn’t any damage to the rifle.
Jimmy yours looks like it was air dropped without being in a plane 😆
My Beaumont/Daystate was delivered from AOA in a Daystate hard case - well packaged -
ive never had a shipment problem from AOA

"CampFussell"I'm gonna give you some positive for that John, because it has made my night. Just about every bite of my supper just now I would have to stop to keep from choking and laughing.
I can't wait till Strever sees this. Maybe he will give you a positive too? LOL

"Paulcat"Just one more hi-jack.No apologies to our Kiwi mates.
That's OK guys, all in fun. We Aussies learn to ride the bends in the road at an early age and I'm in my second childhood.
My post had run out of puff anyhow. I had a great mate named Richard when I was a youth. His surname was Retallick and you guessed it - he didn't sweat answering to Rattlydick.

Wendy and Ieft home for the farm at 3:20 am this morning, drove through Sydney and covered 600 km by 11:00 am in the VW transporter/camper, picked the rifle up from my dealer in town and checked in to the farm by 1:00pm. Then I mowed three acres of lawn, Wendy did some garden weeding. She's in bed and at 10:20 pm l'm about to turn in too.

Apart from the busted barrel the Crown looks fine and I have a feeling it is destined for great things when it gets a new tube.... All of you take care, kind regards, Harry.

I feel you pain I send one of my Daystate via the approved Daystate courier in its hard case and double boxed. Now being i had left the scope on it due to the fact it would not Zero ergo scope goes as well.

Rifle returns two weeks later with a report of what was done new barrel and a few tweaks no problem there happy as Larry however the bent scope was most definitely made me unhappy.

Who to blame DS or Courier well the box did not appear to be damaged neither did the hard shell case. DS adamant that it left the factory in perfect condition.

In the end the scope went flying into the parts bin a fair few pounds down the drain.

OMG!
Looks like you ordered an accordion! Man, I waited 8 months for my Impact. I would have been sooooo mad had it arrived in this condition. Hoping the damage cost will go to the shipping people. This is why we pay extra for insurance.
I'd make sure that the breech is OK as well; all that upward force could have damaged it.
This is truly the definition of "sucks!"

Condolences......

Wow, that's freaking depressing. Here is my take on damage during shipping. Two ways stuff gets damaged:

1. Not packaged well enough.
2. Not handled properly.

Here's a pic that I took a couple of months ago. I'm a rural mail carrier, meaning I use my own car, for the USPS. I love my job and I care about people's packages. Here are two boxes that were dropped off by FedEx for final delivery. We also get shipments from UPS for final delivery.

I can't say how these were handled, but the packaging alone was insufficient to protect whatever was inside. I hope this customer paid for insurance.

I need help from someone.
My fx crown fell over and the barrel liner and barrel liner sleeve snapped off, exact same place as in your pictures.
Anyone know the catalog number of a replacement part of the sleeve, the barrel number is easy the sleeve around it not so easy.
I think we will be seeing a lot of broken x barrels in future as more people get them.

Philipporte,
Sorry to read that. I guess FX USA would be the place to start. I am in Australia so can't help much.
I had outer barrel and liner cut off and turned and threaded and re-fitted by a gunsmith (see pics), and it immediately shot sub inch 100 yd ctc 5 shot groups to prove the quality of the liner. It is a couple of inches shorter now. I now have a complete new barrel which also shoots sub inch at 100 yd.
