YRRAH's FX Crown arrived to my Dealer today. How do I feel!

I think that any mfg of an expensive, yet somewhat fragile item should include a hard case and package and ship it that way. While this is no gaurentee that it won’t be damaged it will provide additional protection.

Double boxed in a hard case should be the standard. You can buy a case in Sams club from 30 to 70 dollars and pkged as described above would prob prevent these types of damage.

These guns are too expensive to ship uncased. Charge an additional 75 dollars to the price, the purchaser, after waiting weeks, months will appreciate the care.

Years ago Gretsch guitars did not include the price of the case in the advertised price of the guitar. Naturally, on the two that I own, I added the case, I wasn’t totally happy that Grestsch had this extra charge policy, but you need a case, so why not get it at purchase and get the added shipping protection.

After designing, mfg, a somewhat delicate expensive, precision device, then trusting it to any shipping company, to actually follow the “this side up, fragile, handle with care stickers is ludicrous. Include a hard case and ship it that way.

"Strever"John please explain what you are talking about (tiles & constuction) ???
"John_in_Ma"All I can say is......I've seen those tiles!(Have worked remodels of 300+ year old homes to new construction) On a serious note that would have me saying things that would make anyone blush.
The Floor Dick, the linoleum tiles. My mind picks up on the oddest poop sometimes.

"Alan"This boosts my opinion that airgun manufacturers don't package their goods correctly. At least, they should offer gun case packaging as an option. Unfortunately, I don't know any who do.
Mod Edit: Off topic content removed. All of the Crown's (except the very first batch) will ship in a hard case.
All due respect, it was quite on-topic. I'm not trying to sell a Vulcan, but let's give credit where credit is due. AGT ships with a hardcase. It is great news to know that Crowns will also from now on.

It left Sweden with the first batch in July, arrived in Australia in early September, cleared Customs two weeks ago, was dispatched from the importer Wed last week in good order and arrived by our third world postal courier service today.
A phone call to Fredrik Axelsson had an instant response and he is sending a new barrel immediately. But ... even though it is being air freighted, at this end it could be at the least another month before I get to shoot the Crown.
Well I guess you guys can vent for me, I'm a little deflated/read depressed. Harry in OZ.

dear Harry,

I am extremely sorry to see what has happened with your Crown barrel.

I was one of those who are serious to know your views about Crown.

Fredrik will surely help you out but deffinately at the cost of some more time.

"Strikey"Was it sent from Hermanns with Auspost or their just as bad offsiders Startrack, Harry? Surely their insurance should cover it???
Probably went from Gippsland to Queensland via Western Australia. Not Hermanns fault. But have mates who pull trailers for the post sometimes and they suggest I use someone else.Care factor of zero.Throw the carton in the stillage of the right destination.Throw other crap on top.Shee'll be right mate.

Hahaha, that would have been the shortcut for AusPost, they lost my 500 when Hermanns replaced it, turned out it was sitting in the Post Office and nobody knew???? Yeah nah she'll be right mate, lol

G'day all,

It's not always shipping companies or the postal services: when my FSB 300 S did not arrive at the designated fire arms dealer after two weeks or so I rang the gun shop selling the rifle. At first they did not remember me or the sale, but I insisted they check their records and told them I would call back in an hour. On my calling back they admitted they had received full payment from me and had found the gun, packed and ready for sending in the store room where they had forgotten about it. At least it arrived intact.

"John_in_Ma"Whom ever gave me a - for using strever's name(Dick, a nickname for Richard) know I wasn't insulting him and your social justice attitude isn't warranted. If Strever was offended he would have brought it up. Check this link if you don't believe me. http://benchrest.com/showthread.php?98042-Redwoods-Airgun-Club-USARB-match-results-for-Oct-07-2017
John, I'm so sorry bro, but that is the funniest poop I've seen tonight! LOL You got a negative because someone thought you were calling the person a dick when his name is Dick!!! I'm bout to wet my damn pants. Renae is even here laughing her ass off! Sorry bro! I'm probably gonna get my first negative for this poop. Hell go ahead and break my cherry.

I swear I got tears running down my face!
