Yoyoyo.... waddup Airgun Peeps

I'm not really 'new' to the airgun scene, many moons ago I was into it..... back in the old skool days of the LEGENDARY Chinese B3 era and the many variants/types rifles (ya'll know wassup back then if you were there). Anyway, trying to get back in the game and looking for a cheap decent rifle. Was thinking the Gamo Hornet (or Varmint) or the Beeman Sportsman RS2 rifle...... around the $150 range and below. What else would you recommend in that price range?

Cheap and decent are a hard match. Not to say that there are no rifles out there that would make the grade, but they just lead you deeper into the rabbit hole.

Depending on the level of seriousness, it may be better to save a few bucks and go high end from the start. Save it now, or save it later. You will probably wind up stepping up to a higher end gun. Most of us work it that way anyhow.

Well, I just want a starter gun, nothing fancy...... just some fun plinking and rodent dispatching. What about the Crosman Optimus? Crosman Benjamin Prowler? Daisy Winchester Model 1100? Benjamin Titan GP?

Come on ya'll.... I need more guns to look at in this price range, more suggestions and recommendations please. BTW, are those Valken V-Tac Retay any good? Only for $100!! They look nice!!! :p

I don't know, kids.......that Hatsan looks mighty nice and after looking at a few reviews, everyone's had nothing but good things to say about it. One reviewer says it uses German steel, in all the internals and the barrel, etc...... so there ya go. Maybe I should pick one up and have a showdown with your Walther Terrus!!

You’ve gotten some good advice, especially the RWS34 on Amazon. I own a Hatsan and it does not compare favorably with the German made guns.

But hey, you seem to know better and it is your money............enjoy your HatsOn.
