Your tinkering / Tuning Bench

Okay so I'm not sure if I mentioned this but I am in the middle of moving to a new home (God I hate moving) but I actually have my own man cave now.

Before my little bench for working on the guns and what have you was nothing more than a corner set aside in an extra bedroom along with all of my wives books and some junk that always seem to get in the way.

My wife has laid down the law all air gun stuff has to be in all in one room, So in good learned marriage negotiations I got the garage that the previous owner had turned into his man cave.

I even have a 40 gun fireproof safe that came with the house yippee. So now I am trying to set up all my workspace and storage and thought I'd holler at you guys for some ideas and see what your little corner or tuning shop looks like.

So how about it throw some pics out there and let's see what you got

Not the greatest picture but this in my little man cave. Fishing gear, fly tying bench and reloading bench in the foreground. My safe is out of the picture to the left. The portable shelves from Home Depot that are in the foreground are cheap and perfect for this kind of thing. Set yours up with more room than you think you’ll need!

Its extra messy these days but this is my 'cave'. I have a deep, extra garage. Took the back 10ft for my cave, put up a wall and built this but the whole garage is my hobby area. Out the window where the wildcat is pointing, I have 10m to an indoor target and can get up to 75y on outdoor targets at the tree line. If I move out to the garage proper I can shoot out to 150y before the hill becomes to steep to overcome with target stands.

Now that's nice I like

Too embarrassed to post mine. I really need to move to a larger house. My current one doesnt even have a garage. Imagine, if you will, a large spacious dining room and table. littered with tanks, guns, car parts, tool cases, bags, gun cases, moderators, a compressor. The table it's self is rather large, and entirely covered with pieces of this and that. Even a vice 😂 My wife complains every once in a while. I mean, it's the dining room. But she's taken the entire spare room for her hobbies. So, there isn't room elsewhere.

I like what I see, though. Maybe not too soon in the future I can spread out/organize a bit more. It would be nice, for sure.

I have my own building.... but it’s a total disaster area (inside and out). It seems to pick up all of the overflow from various projects going on. Not just my stuff either. The boys are using it all the time too. I’m happy to have the space. Believe it or not, I actually know where stuff is in there. Here it is even as embarrassing as it it. At least it’s mine! Ha ha!

Got everything crammed into a 5’ x9’ ID room in the corner of my garage. Started out as a gun storage and reload room, and still is, but also has now become mainly my PCP maintenance and tweak room. Major disassembly is done on a plastic fold out picnic table out in the garage, as this room is just way too small for all the parts and elbow room required for a tear down.

FrontWall of room that has the main table that has all reload tools bolted onto table. All my work tables in here and in the garage have been built using solid core doors taken from job sites that required demo of everything. I cover up all my reload tools. The O ring sealed snap shut cases underneath the reload die shelf contains all pcp stuff, per gun.

Left side of 9’ wall and end of room wall, that has a second work bench that I do all my scope mounting, exterior lubrication of pcp guns, and the shelf there has all my consumables in cleaning solutions, solvents, glistening, epoxies, etc. Above my Hercules Bully is a shelf that holds all my Wheeler and Sinclair tools that involve gun service and gunsmithing, including all my pcp metric and standard Allen wrenches.

The other end of the room closest to entry door, has all Knick knack nuts bolt, pcp fittings, rechargeable batteries, etc. All bins labeled and organized. The entry door is labeled of what I am proud to have been for 32 years.

its crammed, but I’m grateful to have incorporated it in my garage build back in 1998.
