Your Favorite Plinking Targets

My wife is in kidney failure and she does dialysis every nite so we get delivered loads and loads of a dialysis solution that come to us in fairly large boxes so I break the boxes down and use them as pellet traps for my .177 and .22 air rifles.
Once I'm finished shooting them up off to the dump they go.:)

Empty pellet tins. Drill three small holes in a tin, 120° apart near the circumference of the tin edge; then lace the tin halves together with thin wire passed through each of the three holes. Hang the tin at distance and shoot away. Makes a very dynamic target when hit. Be careful of the sharp edges created when pellets pass through the tin.

Aspirin tablets. I lay them out in a row, dip tooth picks in elmers glue, and stick the tooth pick to the aspirin. Let them dry for 30 min or longer, stick them into holes drilled into the edge of a 2x4 and you're good to go.

With my meager skills, it's a challenging shot at 30 yards.

Forgot to mention-- they make a nice white puff of "smoke" when hit!

Dodge3500, Truly sorry to hear about your wife's kidney failure. I truly hope and pray for a positive outcome.

Favorite plinking target. Necco wafer candies. They break like glass, are biodegradable, brightly colored, cheap and available everywhere. What more could you ask for?
They are also similar in size and shape to the holes in field target targets which makes them ideal for tons of rangefinding practice. Set them up anywhere you like. With small metal binder clips or even paper clips they can stand up or be placed in trees, hung from wire fences...

Oh yeah and army men.
