You'll shoot your eye out!

I was 11or 12 and begged, complained, pleaded and coerced my anti gun parents to get me a 20 cal sheridan blue streak for Christmas and they begrudgingly got it for me. (Im 49 yo) I ran outside in my backyard in my pajamas to shoot it. I was so excited. It was my 2nd or third shot that ricoceted of a metal fence post and hit me right next to my eye. Big red spot. I panicked and jumped face first in the snow and told them I fell and hit my head or I would never have seen it again. That was a learning lesson for me. I still have that gun today. It doesnt work anymore and the barrel solder broke and the bluing is gone. But I could never toss it. I have so many memories with that rifle. So I bought another one 24 years ago and it is like brand new.

One of my older brothers (10 yrs older) gave me a "spray-n-pray" BB gun one year. One of those full auto, freon can powered, blow the BB's up and out a straw barrel kind of guns. My friends and I used to play a kick-the-can kind of game on the over grown acre lot across the street. Whoever was "it" got the BB machine gun.

Yeah, we were not always well supervised.

I had the daisy 10 pump .177 deals love it. It didn't have a front sight but it was pop can accurate at like 15 yards or so. I impressed the village mayor one day while he was at our neighbors house which was his sons house. I pulled it out murdered some pop and beer cans then set up for a longer shot with my sling shot didn't miss a shot with that too. My dad came out was like WTF thats the mayor over there, which the mayor said he's fine he's one hell of a shot.

One Christmas I got a new bb gun and my brother was bugging me so i told him to run out a target further out.. And of course I shot him in the A$$.. No bb gun for years !!

That’s funny, because we did the same thing, my 3 bothers and I took turns shooting and it turned into a Azz shooting contest and dad caught us and the Daisy ended up attached around a small tree, he wasn’t very impressed with his 4 young children shooting each other in the azz’s that day, took two years to get another BB gun in the house. It was funny because you could see the flight of the BB in the air that’s how weak it was and that’s how we would hit our targets. It was all down hill after that.

I also had a BB gun when I was young but I was only allowed to shoot it in the basement. My sister was a couple years older than me and at about age 14 had some boys over the house. She was trying get rid of me and not very nicely, so I went into the basement and started shooting and making as much noise as possible doing so. Pretty soon one of the guys wandered down to see what I was doing and he started shooting with me, then he called the other guys down. They all wound up hanging out with me shooting for the rest of the night leaving my sister by herself. The next time she had friends over she was little kinder to me.

I had one of those. It did not last long before the Freon cracked the housing.

My only "cult film" and my friends and family know.

I remember back in the early 70's a couple of us young dimwits decided it would be fun to "play army" with our new 760 pumpmasters with only 1 pump. I heard 4 stealthy intentionally quiet pumps from the far woods and hollered out I quit. My team never even got hit and that ended that thankfully. The other team tried to lie and I said fire one and let me hear it. BUSTED!! The oldest boy and his brother tried to cheat! The oldest brother spent most of his younger years with a couple of bits in State prison. Funny how things work out sometimes : )
