Yong Heng to Brocock Bantam?

Yes, the Chinese Fosters are 8mm quick connects and that is what my Yong Heng's hose has on the end. It does not fit any of the male Fosters on any of my equipment. Also, the threads on the Yong Heng are M10x1 which is a metric thread. I have not found an American female Foster quick connect that fits my equipment, that has the M10x1 threads. The American Fosters have a 1/8" NPT thread or possibly a BSPP thread. I am checking into getting an 8mm Foster with 1/8" NPT (I think - I need to check my Alpha water filter) threads to replace the American Foster male fitting. So I have not been able to use my Yong Heng compressor yet. :( Let me know if you find a solution to this problem.

I'm quite sure the rifle will be supplied with a fill probe

I'm also quite sure the Chinese foster quick connect will not snap on to the fill probe

I have a yong heng compressor, and AirArms pcp rifles - and the Chinese foster quick fit would not fit air arms fill adaptors - would not latch, and I've heard paint ball enthusiasts complain of this type of thing with Chinese foster quick fit fittings

What I did was discard the quick fit connectors for both the fill whip and fill adaptor and screwed an AirArms fill adaptor directly into the oil/water filter - apart from air leak it worked fine, and I bodged an o-ring and switch mounting nut to stop air escaping

Works fine, and no problems as I don't have different types of fill adapters - but if I get more PCPs, I'll have to sort it out with European quick fit fittings

Your Brocock fill adaptor should be 1/8 BSPP threaded. If you're feeling direct to rifle, this fitting would probably work for you.

I've used that fitting in the past with a Chinese hand pump and SCBA fill station (they have the same quick disconnect fitting as the compressor) and things work ok up when dealing with pressures below 3800 psi. 

When working above those pressures to fill a SCBA tank, I've had 3 different quick disconnects fail on me around 4000 psi where the quick disconnects blew apart and bruised my hand from the hose whip. Since then, I've decided to remove all Chinese quick disconnects from my compressor setup and convert everything over to stainless steel foster fitting which are 1/8 NPT. If you are just going to fill directly to the rifle, you probably don't need to go to this far of an extreme, especially since I spent more on air fittings than the cost of the compressor.

To SteveUK, I'm almost certain you mixed metric and British threads together, which is why your setup was leaking in the first place. The moisture filter from the compressor is M10x1 and your Air Arms fill piece is 1/8 BSPP. It seems like you cobbled it together enough for your purpose, but I would be real hesitant to suggest it to others because it's inherently dangerous to mix thread types in high pressure applications.

A European one, or a Chinese one - but as pointed by someone who knows these things, the threads are different - problems all round

The problem seems to be the actual length of the Chinese/European fittings when mating mixed fittings - they push in, but the ball bearings can't drop into place and lock the 2 parts together - but that's in addition to mixed threads

All Chinese, or all European will work fine to snap together - just that there is a difference between the two standards - but then we come back to the different threads

I simply ditched the quick fit parts and screwed my air rifle fill adapter directly into the black cotton insert oil/water filter housing that is on the end of the fill whip - but now I'm told that the filter threads are different to my European threaded fill adapter

It's a mess - 2 different snap fit standards, and 2 different thread standards - but if you ditch the snap fit parts, you only need an adapter from Chinese thread on whip filter to Brocock thread on fill probe

Seems secure enough, but was only a temporary bodge - will have to sort things out when I get some more PCPs with different fill connectors anyway
