Yong Heng QD Foster Problem

i got in a yong heng compressor. but when i try to attach it to my tank the QD fitting just will not latch correctly.

and it doesnt seat all the way forward. i can see there are two black orings and thpught maybe they acicdently inserted too many. so i removed one, still didn't seat on the Male foster. so i took out the other one too. still didnt seat. no i wouldn;t have turn on the gas even if it seated correctly.

i'm at a loss what to try next... any ideas?

My Yong Heng compressor QD would not attach to one of my male foster adapters for one of my guns. It just would not latch for a secure fit. I knew it was the male foster adapter as I had problems attaching it to my hand pump in the past and required a bit of filing to get it to fit. But the included QD foster did latch to other male foster adapters. I happened to purchase a oil-water separator which had a male foster end and female foster end (see link below) which attached just fine. You may want to purchase this or an extension cord which would work with your tank.

The attachment I purchased is below:

This is great for filling a large tank as it provides another chamber to catch moisture, much larger than the included moisture trap.

Joe Brancato supplies a female thread to male foster fitting that has the shoulder too close to the bearing detent on the foster stem...I have had this same problem with using standard female foster QD. You need to purchase someone else's adapter that is compatible with all the "standard" female QDs.
