Yong Heng for tank

I have a Yong Heng 110v basic model compressor. I've always used it only to fill guns directly. My 97 cf tank needed topping off today and the Yong Heng needed an oil change so I decided to use the Yong Heng 110v basic model to top off the 97 cf tank. From 3600 to 4500 took about 20 minutes done in 2 sessions with a short cooling period in between. Temp never exceeded 130 F and seemed to stabilize there but I let it cool once anyway. It worked much better than I thought it would for this, and many people have previously posted here and elsewhere that they have used the small compressors to fill tanks with no issues.

I used my Yong Heng 110v compressor to completely fill my 88+ CF carbon fiber tank from brand new / zero psi to almost 4,700 psi.
Mine used just the small oem oil/water separater, a 5 gal bucket of water [which I periodically added frozen 2 ltr bottles to - to help aid cooling]

I jotted down all of my run-times [starts, stops, breaks, as well as pressures and temps] It worked flawlessly!

Agree that it seems to work well for this use. I don't know whether such use will shorten usable life span of the compressor but for the cost it seems well worthwhile. I did have a Diablo dryer in the line after the small separator. I use a plastic tool box that holds about 2 gallons and replenish ice in it as needed. Good handle for carry and holds enough to keep it cool. I keep the return water line above water level so I can see water flow.
