I just recieved my yong heng compressor today. I plugged it in and turned the power switch on. POP! I spark shot out the back and it tripped my breaker. I don't know what happened. Any help would be appreciated .

Use a dedicated high amperage outlet with nothing else drawing current don't use extension cords either.
Most amperage draw likely to trip circuit breaker or blow fuse is upon first startup.

Sometimes they are a bit reluctant to start for their first time. Try getting something through the guard and turning the fan a bit then try it powering it up again If that doesn't werq for you you should probably be contacting whoever you bought it from.
Like Odoyle says make sure you have a dedicated outlet with nothing else on the circuit these things are power hungry on start up. Don't use an extension cord unless it is rated for more than 15amps continues duty either.

Its your outlet not the compressor. Change outlet. It need at least 15 amp outlet. Also do not use any extensions cord or other appliances. These compressor use a lot of power.
