Yong Heng Auto Shutoff?

Sounds like you received the "Set Pressure" model not the "Auto Shutoff" model. It is a step up in cost. Just set it where you want it to shut off and leave it alone. The Auto shut off models are not very accurate where they shut off from what I have read, sometimes shutting down early, so you are probly better off with the model you received.

The auto shut off model does not allow you to set the pressure. It come preset with to 300 bar and will auto shut off when it hits 300 bar. Some claim it will shut off earlier. If you are able to set the pressure then you got the set pressure model. It shut off to whatever pressure you set it to. Imo the set pressure model is the best and usually the most expensive one. About leaving the compressor alone. You never want to leave it and go to the store or something. But leaving it and going to another room is no problem. I always set mine to 4500 psi and leave it and go watch TV in another room. It always shut off and beeeeeep to let you know its done.

My YH was the "set pressure" model but I never used the feature. I always bled off moisture and let the compressor run with the bleed open to cool and to remove as much moisture as was possible so I operated it manually. This past fall my "set pressure" adjustable shutoff gauge failed-lost the internal seal and blew the rubber plug out of the gauge and across the room. I'm glad I didn't leave it alone at that time. I replaced it with a standard non-setting gauge and it still works fine.

Well thank you very much. 1 thing I have found out, at lease with mine. I bought this Royal Purple and Ivan smell oil when it starts to get hot, in a pinch before the RP had arrived I both this all season Ingersal Rand stuff b/c ineededin a pinch. It stayed clean and didn’t smell at all. Thinking I’m finding out by school of hard knocks! Then my oil plug stripped out, so their all 10 mil so took one off the housing and can’t find a replacement now, but it’s working with no leaking idk?

Thanks biohadsman. I also seen quite a bit on these forums. The burst release valve blows quite easily on all of them. I did away with it.

I have the same unit and it blows discs also. To stop it from doing this I do not fill over 4200psi and always bleed the pressure before I shut the unit down. Yes, I shut it down manually never let it shutdown on it's own. I have not blown a disc since I started this practice. Others do not have this problem and let theirs shutdown on it's own. Lucky they are. Some of it may be in the 20-40 bar difference in what the gauges read and what the pressure really is.
