Yong Heng

Got a knock-off Yong Heng compressor for my B'day, had to get it repaired pretty soon after I got it, but didn't want to tell the givers it had broken!. Before I had it repaired, I realized how much easier it made my PCP shooting life. While the gift pump was in the shop, I found a REAL YONG HENG compressor on closeout from WalMart, originally (so they say) $999.00, for $250 on closeout! This thing is wonderful, smooth, powerful and doesn't heat up nearly as fast as the knock-off. Won't go over 50C, with water cooling. Now I have 2 pumps, gonna wear out the knock-off, with care till she dies.

The knock-off has no Yong Heng labels, has a paper air inlet filter, no pressure relief valve. The Yong Heng has large identifying lettering on the side of the pump and a manufacturer nameplate that says Yong Heng Pneumatics LTD. serial number etc. it also has a metal brass/copper inlet filter and and pull ring pressure relief valve. The plate also list specifications for the pump. By the way, love your YouTube channel!

Ok Dark thanks for the information on identifiers for a true YH compressor. I purchased one from the YH factory in China or at least that is what the listed said, see below.
Thank you for the kind words regarding my YT channel

Hajimoto,

My knock-off yong heng had broken check valve spring after about 3 hours usage and I'm having a hard time locating replacement. Knock-off came with spare check valve spring, real Yong Heng did not. I want to get ahead of this before she (knock-off) fails again. Bought look-a-like springs from Lowes and tried them out, so far so good, but I think heat from 1st to 2nd stage is killing check valve springs. Asked Centercut about heat sinks on pipe leading from 1st to second stage of compressor. Have also ordered a higher flow water pump.

Hi Haji, I also bought mine from the same seller, they where very quick to ship it and I have it know for over a year now, hasn't give me any problems, I mainly use to top off my rifles when I go to the range, just keep it below 60ºC and runs like a kitten !!!!, very good compressor, as a side note, I've found that the PSI gage is around 20 BARs off,so be careful!.

Let us know how everything goes with yours.
