Events Xtreme Field Target! Sat. Nov 27 at Phoenix Rod and Gun Club

We're very excited to announce the Xtreme Field Target match being held at PRGC that Saturday right after Thanksgiving. (great opportunity to come walk off a bit of that turkey dinner, and if the in-laws are still around might be a great excuse to get out of the house).

  • Same format as we had last winter, field target, but up to 100 foot pounds and 100 yards. Basically three classes: airgun slug, airgun pellet, and subsonic .22 rimfire (this class only officially added this winter).
    • To be as inclusive as possible, all shooters shoot from same position (soles of feet on the ground and sitting on a backless seat of your own choice with gun rested on shooting sticks/bipod)
  • Match Director says there may be some medals for the winners as well as some gift cards for custom work from JD Custom Design (https://jdscustomdesign.com/) Thanks to JD for the sponsorship.
  • Also, some big XFT announcements coming up in Hard Air Magazine that you won't want to miss. Sign up for their free monthly subscription here. https://hardairmagazine.com/subscribe-to-hard-air-magazine/
    • Steven Archer assured me their will be no selling of your email address or junk dropping into your inbox, just good, solid airgun articles (or links to such) for your reading pleasure.

Sign up for the November match through the Practiscore website. Registration opens in five day. https://practiscore.com/2021-11-27-extreme-field-target-challenge-at-phoenix-rod-and-gun-club/register

I just checked out the weather forecast for South Mtn this weekend and I'm seeing this, "

"Saturday

Sunny, with a high near 76. East northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning."

If that doesn't sound like beautiful weather, I don't know what does. I had to travel down to Phoenix last week and it was really nice. There's a reason that people from all over the western US and Canada winter in Phoenix. Very nice winter temps. AND that wind forecast......perhaps we'll see a new record high score?

Get signed up and come walk off all that turkey and pie!

Don't let being new deter you, we'll squad you with somebody that has competed before and "show you the ropes" the best we can. I guarantee you'll feel welcome AND have a great time.
