Something happened today during my benchrest match that I'd never seen during official competition. Seemingly the other guys hadn't witnessed anything similar either.

Moving from bull to bull, the wind conditions were changing quickly (and all of us were grousing). So when a good condition presents itself, best take the shot without hesitation. Look at this card and see if you can detect something funny:

No? Look closely at #16. When I got to this bull, a honeybee crawled over the 10 ring and parked. I was holding off properly for the wind, and the conditions were right. But after waiting many seconds (each card is timed), the little bugger wouldn't budge*. I thought about moving to another bull, but that would waste time and the clock was ticking. So it was him or me (or at least my point).

After the dust (guts) settled, the bee gave his life for an X, and became an ex-bee.

*I know bees are beneficial and I do like them. I wished it were a Yellowjacket but it was Mr Bee's unlucky day. At least it was a humane annihilation.
