Judging from the video's, they will be eliminating the Streamline (same price point as the Dreamline), but perhaps it's time for FX to clear the inventory of older models and just concentrate on the different market segments they've created.

And, the Dreamline, even with all the flexibility, will NOT be a perfect platform for everyone. We've yet to see how it performs in the different configurations.

One difference (I think this is a difference) is that the dreamline will use a linkage for the trigger in bullpup. The Impact has a completely different system and doesn't use a linkage (as I understand it). Trigger snobs (and I like a good trigger) may still gravitate towards the Impact. And as a universal platform, the compromises might keep the Wildcat on the market for a long time.

Other places where the traditional guns win out are shot count. Going from a tube gun to a bottle gun makes a huge capacity difference. To get 100 shots per fill in .25 vs the Dreamline that will probably get at most 20 will steer some people to the Impact and Crown.

Dreamline is a great platform, but you have to make a lot of compromises to get there. Even with all the adjustable features and such, it'll never be the perfect gun for everyone, so the other guns will remain in the lineup.

Right now, I'm torn. I've nearly got enough saved for an Impact or Crown, but with the Dreamline coming out, that would give me the features I want, and leave enough $$ for a compressor. It'd sure be nice to be free from the paintball shop.

Now with YouTube going completely bizarre, where will I go to see the reviews? AEAC, where will you be in a couple weeks?

Eliminating the Streamline? I suppose you are right.. makes sense..I'm so torn about this.. Absolutely impatient... I'm going to need a rifle for July, August time frame to shoot sparrows. The Streamline and thanks to Bob_O. ( he really makes me want one) would be perfect.. But I don't want a model that will discontinued soon..It would be nice to really know the plan.. even if they miss the time frame a month or so. They are saying June.. but that really means July.. then they take the entire month of August off.. so that pushes it back to October.

I understood the same thing about axing the SL. However if you muster a little patience, you may be able to pick one up for a song. If it meets your needs, and can get for a deal, why not? Just a thought. (If that speculation holds true)

If the Streamline is discontinued, maybe, there will be a sale so it's less expensive. Besides, having a gun that isn't manufactured any more isn't anything to be worried about. FX have literally tens of thousands of them out there (my guess) and with the new facility, they will be servicing them for a long time to come. It's a good gun. I guess what I would say is if it fits your needs now and you can get it on sale, don't wait for the Dreamline, get the Steamline. Think of it this way, the Streamline is a sporter style rifle. you'll probably build the Dreamline into a sporter style rifle. Once you get the Dreamline set the way you want it, you'll probably never change it, You;ll probably just buy another gun. So, if you want a Dreamline, it'll always be available later and you have the advantage of letting early adopters work the bugs out while you shoot a wonderful Streamline.

Makes sense to me!
