Judging from the video's, they will be eliminating the Streamline (same price point as the Dreamline), but perhaps it's time for FX to clear the inventory of older models and just concentrate on the different market segments they've created.
And, the Dreamline, even with all the flexibility, will NOT be a perfect platform for everyone. We've yet to see how it performs in the different configurations.
One difference (I think this is a difference) is that the dreamline will use a linkage for the trigger in bullpup. The Impact has a completely different system and doesn't use a linkage (as I understand it). Trigger snobs (and I like a good trigger) may still gravitate towards the Impact. And as a universal platform, the compromises might keep the Wildcat on the market for a long time.
Other places where the traditional guns win out are shot count. Going from a tube gun to a bottle gun makes a huge capacity difference. To get 100 shots per fill in .25 vs the Dreamline that will probably get at most 20 will steer some people to the Impact and Crown.
Dreamline is a great platform, but you have to make a lot of compromises to get there. Even with all the adjustable features and such, it'll never be the perfect gun for everyone, so the other guns will remain in the lineup.
Right now, I'm torn. I've nearly got enough saved for an Impact or Crown, but with the Dreamline coming out, that would give me the features I want, and leave enough $$ for a compressor. It'd sure be nice to be free from the paintball shop.
Now with YouTube going completely bizarre, where will I go to see the reviews? AEAC, where will you be in a couple weeks?
