Wraith mini

I got to play with a wraith mini last night, a local dealer has one in stock. I think it’s just as good of a picture as the bigger units(wraith4k and atn4k) in a much lighter package. The only downside is the battery setup, I would invest in rechargeable batteries. I was pretty impressed with it and it would be my pick for a digital night vision.
Time was cut short with the mini though because he got out some of the new thermal toys.

i am also curious about battery life since the original HD uses them up quickly and a battery pack is almost essential in the field unless you want to swap batteries.

I think it said 3-4 hrs on a set. So better invest in rechargeables or a pack. On my super hogster I run a pack, I keep it in my pocket so I don’t have the weight on my gun.

Well my buddy just bought the wraith mini and my dad has the wraith 4k. I had an atn xsight 4k and hated it. I honestly think after handling all of them that my pic would be the mini, I’m pretty impressed with it and it cures one of my biggest gripes with the others… weight. I think a lighter weight setup really suffers from a heavy scope. I also like the wider FOV of the mini, the focus was easy to turn without being too easy. I think clarity wise it was as good as the others.
