Well I wanted to wait till near sundown to shoot- managed to get 2 cards - but then got called to an emergency service ---
so I still had card 3 to shoot-
the winds died down substainally and so did the heat -
but I'm one tired hombre---

not sure if I'll be able to get in more practice -
busy schedule tomorrow

I felt like I was in a zone today? --
but I sure am tired tonight --
'I think the best times to shoot are early morning or just before sunset -
midday is insane! We hit 97 degrees today!

Those cards are insane! I guess I better start practicing... I'm embarrassed to even post mine, gotta work on those pesky flyers! I think it's me not reading the conditions, practice, practice, practice.

Coldking, do you clean between cards or after each set, or just when accuracy falls off?. Also what barrel is on your Thomas?

I try to use a reginine of cleaning as needed -
and the barrel is a special offering from Thomas air rifles -
i do believe the best advice I could give is to practice- and more Practice!
Also learning to read the winds
Post them photos! - it's all Fun!

Not proud of it!, shot yesterday, winds switching & swirling, 33yds with flags! Also boil from dew evaporating off grass.

Don't feel embarresed at all. My best card at the NE Regionals was a 235 4x at 25m, and 220 2x at 50yd. CK couldn't mannage a 250 either. Switch winds and rain on day 2 will show you what you're made of.

Thanks for the encouraging words John, told myself I would post all targets (good or bad!) it"s a learning curve!. I will say this, on a couple of those shots I knew I messed up as soon as I pulled the trigger, not waiting for the condition to fully change or settle. ( Rushing the shot ) The misses that really bother me are the vertical ones, mirage? errant shot? bad pellet? a thermal?...

And that was some range -don't believe that I've ever shot in such switch winds -but did manage to Win LV class -
but learned a valuable lesson -DONT SHOOT IN THE FCKING RAIN! LOL
Also to damn old to drive 2500 miles!

November would be a good time to take a vacation, though I may have to wait until next year.. I've got friends down there I haven't seen in a few years and a match would be nice too. Only thing is I would be flying down so i would have to borrow a rifle to shoot.
I know I dropped at leat six points on one card and three on another because of the rain but it's all good. Like I said on sunday don't get frustrated get motivated
