Cold King, I live in Massachusetts 19 degrees and snowing today... Yeah, I used to live in Sarasota. Winter can bring some chill.But in a day or two it can be 70 again.

You should come to the Holbrook Sportmans Club https://hsc1.wildapricot.org/ on the first saturday of the month to shoot some indoor benchrest. it's 25yds indoors and a lot of fun. I missed this months match but will be there next month for sure. If you can travel there will be another benchrest match in Salem NY the third sunday of the month at the Salem Pistol and Rifle club. It would be Feb 20 this month.
Of course Field Target starts a few months from now in NY also with this event http://airgunnation.dev/topic/eftcc-spring-fling-an-aafta-grand-prix-qualifying-event-april-30th-and-may-1st/. So there are plenty of opportunities to shoot with fellow airgunners in these colder months and busy FT season ahead.

get a motor home and just do it!

west coast of Florida has some of the most beautiful beaches- and Vistas look nothing like this side.

Thanks for letting me know about the indoor Bench Rest shoots that happen the first Saturday of the month John. Next one that would fit my schedule is the first Saturday of April.

Nice shooting guys!
I stopped in for lunch and decided to give er a go- but my plywood target backer kept blowing off its stand-- really like riding a bucking bull today! Winds all over the place.

Geez ColdKing....you are one deadly target hunter in the wind!! Amazing job on the target. I wonder if I can do that if I bought a Thomas Rifle??? Probably not... ;-)

Just measured the plug, 0.1975. The .177 cal pellets - 0.1790 and .22 cal pellets 0.2220 -but barrel is .217 diameter --

My understanding is - as .177, .20 and .22 calibres can shot, therefore they are all plugged with a .22 plug, otherwise the .177 and .20 shooters are at a disadvantage. I also believe there is a standard to which plugs must comply when used in competition.

of course it's acceptable for the .22 plug to enlarge the hole. That's what makes it fair for the .177 cal guys to shoot against the .20 cal and .22 cal guys.
The .20 and the .22 make a larger hole to begin with and that would give them an advantage over the smaller .177 diameter hole.
You're doing it right. You've just shot nothing but .22 cal for so long that you have to remember you're now shooting .177 cal ;-)
