Wow. Totally sold on NSA slugs. .22 20.2 gr. HP @ 900 fps from AEA HP Varmint

Shot was broadside. Blasted through arm, lungs and heart and parked under skin leaving a HUGE wound channel.

AEA HP Varmint stock other than trigger spring refinement alongside 1 lb 11 ounce fox squirrel. It throws NSA .217 20.2's downrange accurately at 900 fps. The lightest NSA's tilt and jam in the magazine. I've had the same issue with the lighter NSA slugs in spring loaded mags such as the FX Impact and Umarex Gauntlet. With choked barrels I find the smaller diameter pellets are the way to go for both power and accuracy.

Exit through arm and into chest.

Nice! I like the NSA's for my .22 and .30. If you want a lighter faster pellet that won't tilt in the mag, have a look at Griffen slugs (ebay) he makes hollow base and tip slugs that are longer enough to stay upright.

I bought a batch of Griffin's but they weren't as accurate in my guns and were considerably more expensive than the slugs NSA is pumping out of their high speed presses.

I just purchased and testing a sample pack of NSA slugs in .217 and so far am really impressed. I regretted not getting the sample pack of .218 at the same time. The .217's seem to fly pretty consistant out of my Kozak. The 23gn seem to be the most accurate for whatever reason... They sure handle a cross wind better than a traditional pellet. I have yet to set up the chronograph to see what my speeds are but will do that this weekend.
