Wouldn't you know it the one time I didn't have a gun

To both Sonny and Willie … that's the way it ALWAYS happens. 😱

Yeah well I will prevail Time to set some traps out

I believe animals have a 6th sense when it comes to survival. I mean everytime I don't have my weapons all types of critters everywhere, but let me be locked and loaded..nothing!

Aree 100% since I got my Bobcat I have been noticing all the tree rats have disappeared

Yup, Typical.

Down at the river looking to jump some ducks and the fish are rising all over - rush home for the rod come back and flush half a dozen partridge and there are tree-rats everywhere. Go back, get the shotgun, the airgun, grab a fly rod (and a spinning rod just in case) load everything in the truck, hurry back and.... NOTHING ...except the buck standing below my stand - darn, what is he doing there in mid morning? (probably laughing at me, that's what) Should have brought the bow!

Been there, done that! LOL!

Yeah, sit in a deer stand for hours then climb down and set your gun down five feet away to take a dump and see what happens.

The guy who taught me to hunt many moons ago would carry his rifle with him even went to take a crap. Said he got the habit during WWll.

I had a huge buck walk right through camp 20 yards away during the season and nothing was ready to shoot. He was gone into the trees in 3 or 4 bounds 😖

At least you can shoot them on that range without consequences. Our local range is a members only conservation club, and shooting any critters on the property is prohibited in our rules. We luckily don't have a hog problem, though going to the Board with a rule change to eradicate that invasive species would be easily done. And because it is a conservation club deer are calmly and openly feeding on the rifle range all the time while people are shooting just 100 yards away, which is cool to see. Though I did notice that the range deer are a little more skittish this time of year because firearms gun season just ended and they have been hearing shots in the surrounding woods all Fall.
