Well you know the drill...

Post the highest quality rifle you’ve had that sucks...Example, a leaky FX Impact that is of “good quality,” but it constantly breaks...it is the “worst best air rifle you have/had.” Your anecdotes should be rifles that have the respect of the community but not of you...!

Okay mine: RWS model 34 manufactured by Umarex. The rifle was actually really nice, but the plastic got smashed up and the plastic safety was spotty. Also it had bad barrel droop. Left it behind.

These guns should be considered high quality by your fellow members - real gem models in our community.

Your it. Vote.

Air Arms S410-Bought it used from a guy here. Unwrapped it, it looked great. I swapped the scope off my Marauder and couldn't hit paper at 30 yards-off left by more than a foot. What? Oh, barrel must have moved, I loosened the band and let it find home-no dice. Took the mod off-no good. intentionally tweaked the barrel to the right-hit paper but shotgunning. For now I have a very beautiful wall hanger/project gun. I was kind of hoping to upgrade from my Marauder-not any time soon......

Sounds like a missing barrel breech o-ring.

I have had some real dogs as a child but they were cheap so no real surprise, but they is a clear winner of my more recent, more expensive collection.....FX impact MK11.

noisey action, sticking mag, clipping mod and it wasn’t particularly consistent, all of those issues I remedied but the thing I just couldn’t sort out was zero shift. Zero the gun and it would be accurate, leave it for an hour and the poi would move by a click or two. Every single time I touched the gun I would have to re-zero, too many parts too poorly aligned.👎

BEEMAN RS2 FROM WALMART. No kidding. Nice soft case 2 caliber barrels. Only the 177 barrel was a real fluke of a tack driver. Couldn't believe how accurate it was. It's normally a PIECE OF CRAP kinda gun but probably got that 1 out of 1000. The 22 barrel was meh about inch at 20 yards on a good day. Traded it for a $500 Barnett crossbow that someone local begged me to swap and really wanted the 22. I kept that accurate 177 RS2 barrel as a condition for the trade which he agreed otherwise I wouldn't have traded and hadn't bought another from Wal-Mart yet. Been many many years since that trade and never even tried that crossbow yet since it didn't come with any bolts (arrows).

Been through a slew of cheapies but mostly at least realized what they were and kept expectations low.

One gun in recent years that I just couldnt keep was the Hatsan Bullmaster.

Gave a ton of shots... reasonably accurate but heavy as a lead brick and that 'forearm' on it reminded me of a military fuel can spout (Donkey D..k, for those not familiar with the term) and it wouldnt cycle reliably for anything. Traded it to a fellow after being very clear with the issues. I hope he's been happy with it.

Was that the worst high end rifle you’ve had? Or just a nice cheap rifle? That model is fairly inexpensive, like $99-$129 bucks right?

Hands down my Gamo Urban. It shot exceptionally well, when the pressure would fall off, the shots would be a bit wild. In an effort to chase perfection until destruction I installed an Altaros regulator... after fighting the end cap off the air tube. I'm talking bending a brass rod and using my feet against the stock for counter-pressure. From then on it was like an episode from The Ninja Turtles where I constantly did battle with The Shredder. Alas, no o-ring would survive the threaded end of the air tube and The Shredder won. Knowing that Oroku Saki had beaten me and my attempts to regulate my Urban I undulated between getting out of the hobby or going big.

I enjoyed the hobby so much that I "went big". The Gamo Urban is by far the Worst Best air rifle I have ever owned. :)

Fx Dreamline with a bottle in a tactical stock. I had high hope for it. It was actually really accurate. The reason I wanted to try it was to shoot two different types of ammo. A JSB 18 grain and either a .22 Hybrid or Moster redesigns. Problem came with the power. I only maxed out at 890fps with JSB Redesigns.

In the end, I found I would have to buy a duel transfer port, Longer Barrel, a different liner, another power plenum ( it already had one). Then I found some tell me that all I had to do was increase the internal hammer spring screw which was locktited in. But, as we all know if you disassemble a rifle and change the rifles internal settings, makers are very quick to void your warranty if can tell you messed with it. I could not find a definative YES/NO from anyone or even FX if I could adjust it and keep the 3-year warrenty

All in all, I decide to sell it.

Well you mention best. The worst of the worst was an Airrow Stealth $4500-$5000 base piece of crap that I bought all the caliber and arrow barrels for it so was it $6000? It was stupid expensive maybe 20 years ago. Wasn't even brand new definitely looked used to me.
