Worst Airgun you Own/Owned

Have to disagree with many choices here, as one mans junk is another mans treasure...I have both Gamo and Crossman NP, I polished internals, lubed, buttoned pistons, stiffened barrels with Carbon Fiber, re crowned now 1/4 to 1/2 inch groups all day at 30 yards...Yes they where raw out the box, like anything can be improved with a little TLC...With the NP I custom stained the stock and it is now one of my favorite and most beautiful guns...

Couple of them.... Will start with some of the lower end Crosman and Chinese offerings. Not great, but for what they are, have given me a lot of pleasure as long as you keep expectations in mind.

Gamo comes to mind, but I have a an old Shadow that actually turned out to be a good shooter with some work.

Had a Monsoon for a while.... a short while. It couldnt cycle a complete mag and I sent it back within a week and never bought another.

But the king daddy most turdiest turd I've ever owned....

The Hatsan Bullmaster.

Got an insane number of shots, but couldnt cycle proper, was heavy... and with that forearm reminded me of an Army term we used to use for a Fuel Can spout. For those unaware, that was called a 'Donkey Dick'. I just couldnt like that gun. When it shot, it shot well. But that was rare and even then it was still heavy and ugly. I sold it cheap with full disclosure on its behavior. I hope the new owner is happy with it.

Haha love it. And love that stock. Great job!

I place my vote for the Hatsan 135QE in .25 cal. I must have shot 500 rounds through it and it was constantly filling the barrel with black gunk coming from the wonderful Vortex Gas Piston. Finally I was getting the accuracy to come around for 5-6 shots after cleaning barrel. It really is a heavy beast also. I put the gun up for a few months and the next time I took it out the wonderful gas piston had failed on me. Contacting Hatsan brought the usual price list for the repair and instructions on sending it in. Surely they know these pistons are junk and they should stand behind them. OH, by the way did I say the rifle has a beautiful Turkish stock. I would prefer a cheesy stock and a gun that lasts longer than 15 months with very little use. I wonder how this gun would look as a lamp? I am certainly not going to repair it.

I nearly got a Hatsan 135 last year. Glad I didn’t. The reviews are high on Amazon and elsewhere like Pyramid, BUT I’ve noticed a lot of negative press on QC

issues too. Well, long story short I went with the Torpedo 155 and it broke 2nd shot. Sent it back and moved on to Weihrauch for life.

Ah ok so its your opinion that their opinion is wrong with their experience with their guns.

Hatsan 125 .... Absolutely TRASH . Gave it away less than a week after buying it new . Noisy , poorly built , hard to cock , and couldn't hit a coffee can at 20 yards . Made the Gauntlet look like a Mercedes

I had the same experience with the Hatsan 155 Torpedo. Loved the stock, but what a piece of junk.

I’ve owned two of those Beeman breakbarrel guns with interchangeable barrels .... bought one, And it was so bad it was difficult for me to GIVE it away til i worked on It some to make it at least usable.

I got another dirt cheap on sale just to see if they had improved ... nope! Gave IT away too!

Hatsan Bull Boss. Bad design with the wishbone anti double feed piece and then poor customer service. Second up would be the Diana Stormrider Gen1. I had problems with it and never could find any type of customer service for it. Sold the BB and gave the Stormrider away.

I am so surprised so many Hatsans are making it on here.

I have several Hatsans and no problem with any of them. Interesting, huh.

No, not really. I mean, isn’t that supposed to be how it is? Isn’t it supposed to be no issues? You don’t buy a product to have issues/have a horrible time with it? There are Gamo and NP2s in this thread too, but the majority of the “worst rifles” people have had have been Hatsans. That is to my surprise by the way.

But I’m glad you haven't had any issues. That is how a product is supposed to work 99.99 percent of the time.

I didn’t realize how many of those Hatsans come broken or break fast. I really liked the look of the Hatsan Torpedo 155, but dang it was disappointing to have it break in two shots. It actually broke on the front disengage button for the under-lever, and also the whole airport assembly moved back in the action making the gun completely unusable. I looked over the rifles other features too. What a complete piece of junk in quality.

I am grateful though because it turned me away from spending more for less. Now I am on to spending more for more.

I'll be different. Not cuz I wanna be. Just worked out thataway.

I don't have a worst air gun, nor do I have a best/favorite air gun. They've all worked out well! Even the B-3, which was the first one I owned...it was gifted to me. Each one is different, but I enjoy shooting each and every one!

So if you had every rifle in your truck, and a thief came and stole one, you wouldn’t care which one? They are all equal?

I think I'd be happy that they didn't steal them all.

I just had a guy break into my wife’s car. Infuriating to say the least. But hey at least you like all your rifles equally. What rifles do you have?

Well, Ell Tee, I'm mostly a break barrel kind of guy, but all of these are in .22... TX200, HW97K, LGU, 460, HW57, D34, XS46U, Terrus, R1, a couple of Quest 1000's in .177, and a B-3 in .22. Not really counting the .177's in my opinion given earlier, I don't consider them to be my serious rifles...

Good luck with that.
