Worlds longest air rifle shot?

Cool, wonder how high he had to hold? He had to be aiming at the moon. Must of had FX No Limit Rings,LOL. 

Looks like he made it even more difficult for himself shooting uphill.. Shooting back the other way would have made it easier because it is slightly downhill. But what do I know?? Really cool that this is even possible. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting, speed of sound is around 1125 feet per second, and the sound of the barrel retort arrives two seconds before the bullet strikes the metal. It would have taken the sound of the barrel retort about 3 second to get to the microphone from the shooter (1108 *yards* according to the video), and the bullet arrives two seconds later. This makes the time aloft of the 0.257 round in the ballpark of 5 seconds. Or an "average" velocity of the round about 665 feet per second. With the bullet being launched at a much higher speed. He found a round which had a really good Ballistic Coefficient if his numbers are right, which helped. Great video, thanks for posting.
​For those who want to know the holdover for a 5 second airtime on a bullet.... brace yourself... roughly 400 feet. This is the very definition of a "cloud shoot".
