Hi everyone!  The new wood stock version of the Air Venturi Avenger is finally here, and I just had to make a video.  I like this.  I like this A LOT!  The first link is to the written aritcle, and the second is to the video.  I suggest taking them both in for the full story.

Is wood the only change or have they improved internals?

Man I really wish they went for a darker tone, but this is nice as well.

Here's my plan to remedy that.

At that price just sand it down and restain it Black Charcoal color. That would be sweet.

Still trying to get the synthetic stock removed on mine. They must've put the action in before the resin cooled off at the factory. I got the stock screws out and that sucker does not want to budge.

Have you seen any disassembly videos? The Tupperware stock is 3-pieces.

Will there be the option to buy just the wood stock for those of us who already have the plastic version?

"Tupperware" is a derogatory term for cheap, hollow plastic stocks. In the real world of rifles "synthetic" is a term used to describe high end carbon fiber or fiberglass stocks that are quite pricey and in some ways superior to wood stocks..

The term :synthetic" has been bastardized by peddlers of cheap, hollow plastic OEM stocks.

The Avenger does have a cheap hollow plastic stock. Everyone knows that.

It's not only the Avenger, almost all factory "synthetic" stocks on entry level rifles, RF, CF or air, are like that.
