I'm liking her more and more every day. I had Brian install the Huma regulator, and asked him to set it up for the 25 grain pellets. It came in shooting a little low at only 880 fps, but the dang thing is a laser at that speed? The magazine is only nine shot and it uses about 16 bar per mag which is roughly 1.9 bar per shot. The magazines are plastic which I didn't like at first, but I'm warming up to them more and more too? You will need to slap them on the table like Ed does in his videos to get the pellets seated down in the mag. If you don't have the pellets seated good, it will eject the magazine out of the breech when you pull the lever. Had this happen a few times. Would have been bad news if I was standing in some sand when that happened?

I took the shroud off and cleaned the barrel. Really easy to clean the barrel the way the action comes off the back of the gun. I gotta get the trigger tuned to my satisfaction. If it was up to me there would be no first stage and about a 3 oz trigger, but I'm dreaming right?

Got a friend bout talked me into sending it to Ernest and get it tuned for the 34 grain? I dunno? Might as well experience it all? I can always go back the 25 grain tune if I don't like it?

CF,
Congrads on your new Edgun...the trigger was really easy to adjust after Derrick's advice and even adjusting the hammer spring to shoot the 3rgrn heavies is super easy. That's what's nice about Ed's creations they are easy to maintain and work on.

You have some nice lookong rifles and thanks for sharing with the forum. I do think the R5m is the best looking of the bunch though!!! How do u like the cycling action of the new Matafor?

Sincerely

Thanks for all the comments guys. Critta, yes it's a wind indicator flag . Actually used a fishing lure swivel to attach it to an oring slipped over the air tube. As you can see it was pretty windy when I took the pic! I need to remount it with a tab to hold it out to my left a few inches. Hard to see what it's doing when the wind is coming from my left.

Thanks Keith, I've adjusted all I can with the two screws so far.
Derrick has been a big help. Gotta get the nerve to reposition the nut on the linkage rod next. Which means I need to buy some locktite. This is my first Edgun so I don't know how it compares to the others. The cycling action is getting smoother the more I use it. I hear there's about a 1500 shot break in period. I'm sure it will cycle as smooth as the Bird's once it's broke in.

Thats some gun pic right there! So happy to see the forward cocking lever instead of the bolt action.

Very curious about how your trigger comes out after some tweaking. From past experience that's 1 area where the Matador could improve, the 2nd being the grip (come on ED, the rest of the stock has such nice curves, why are you stuck on that uncomfortable blocky grip?).

Who is Derrick?

"CampFussell"Thanks Christian, You're gonna wait till it gets so hot and humid in August? LOL Haha, come on, maybe you can get me outside of the cool of the A/C?
The struggle is real my friend. It’s not easy for me to get time off. I work opposite the wife and raising 3 young ones. Have a new evil boss to make things sweeter. So, ANY time off for me is at the right time. Besides, she wants to go to the beach, go figure!
