I'm pretty new to air guns but have a Diana 48 and a RWS 34 and much prefer the 48 as far as cocking and shooting goes. Carrying around is a different story though.

You should shoot heavier pellets. When I owned a 48, light pellets were fast, BUT, they would lead the barrel and loose accuracy after a couple shots. Heavier pellets solved this issue."sonny"I own a side lever RWS model 48 great gun but to much power for .177 with over 1100fps, pellets lose accuracy after about 20yrs. I would recomend a larger caliber .22 maybe
