But do not overlook to $2.00 extra "pinwheel" toy's . Just a speck of DIY and they really do add a lot to your range for almost no dollars.
And the Wife wont mind them staying out all the time at 50.

Agreed...

The tips of those tails are important. They tend to let you know the wind is switching before the vane actually turns. Once you see the vane turn, it's likely that the wind has already switched for a second or so, and that can be enough to throw your shot off. 

It would be interesting to video tape shooting a card in switching winds and then reviewing it in slow motion so you could see what was happening and the wind switches you didn't catch.
