Wildcat on the prowl tonight!

Thanks Martin!

I'm loving it. I wasn't sure if I'd like a bullpup over a rifle, but I do. It only took til the end of the first day using it that I realized the benefits of the shorter style. So much easier to maneuver and carry around. The pistol grip is way more ergonomic than the traditional rifle stock grip. I realize there are thumbhole stocks for rifles but my Streamline doesn't have that.

I haven't used the Wildcat from a chair yet, with my primos trigger stick tripod like I have with the Streamline, so I don't know if the shorter length there will affect that type of use, but I might get to try that next time out. There is one thing I prefer with a rifle, and that's the longer fore stock/fore end. I tend to feel like I can make a more stable shot off-hand with my left hand extended. With the Wildcat, I have to hold closer obviously, unless I want to grip the air cylinder, which is somewhat awkward.

I also like that the bullpup stores in a shorter case, which takes up less room in the back seat of my car! I'm still waiting on another set of FX NoLimits mounts so I can get the Streamline back into action. What I'd like to do is take both those guns with me when I visit the farms, but until the scope mounts come in, the SL just sits and waits. I bring the AA S410f TDR 22 with me for now, but unless the WC goes down for some reason, it just stays in the case.

I’ve really been interested in the bull pups as of late. It’s funny that I just purchased my first pcp and I’m already shopping for my next one. I will be hunting on my land in the fall and most of that will be on foot. That’s what’s peaked my interest the most. When you get a moment could you measure from butplate to trigger? I can’t find that info anywhere. I would like to take my sons with me but the streamline is a little long and unwieldy for them yet.
