Wildcat MKIII Huma Powered

Hey Sirk,
You are a real smart ass. It seems to me that you constantly troll these topics for something to criticize. You contribute absolutely nothing and try to get attention by starting trouble. I thought trolls like you were unwelcome on this site, but you are constantly trolling to create controversy. I thought I was the only one you follow around hounding with your banal remarks, but it seems everywhere I go there you are criticizing again. If you don't have anything constructive to say then please refrain from saying anything at all. I for one am growing weary of you.

@monkeyshine : Very nice, very professional looking job.

@Sirk : it may be about approach man. Look, I see the point in the statement, but seriously you have to ask yourself: is this the best way to ask this? Or I’m I coming off as a pompous AH? The OP saw it fit to do a mod, and he did a fine job of it. What purpose it servers? Ask nicely, maybe we can all learn something. At the end of the day, a Monet painting is “nice, but pointless”

The difference between users on this website laics have all the green points and engineers with 25 years hands on pvp experience get red pointed out of this forum

"sirk"i would not want to have my neck artery next to a 120bar pressurized gauge FX or not. besides i prefer mods which can be reversed, that stock will never be new again.
it is an opinion only take it easy
Now that works as your opinion and I see your point, should of said it that way to start with and could of avoided all this but it’s really no different then having your face planted on a 490cc bottle of a Texan or a two bottle Hercules, it does cross my mind when I shoot my Texan but I have faith in the design. PCPs are just dangerous to start with due to the high pressures. MPO..

We need a Sirk. You may not always agree with his delivery but you know if you play the ball and not the man he does often make a lot of sense.
His posts are often controversial but never boring and you just can’t dismiss what he says as just trolling.
Ok he makes a bit of trouble but you have to admit he obviously knows his stuff. That’s why what he says can often hit a nerve.
Heaven forbid he ever got green accuracy!
He walks a fine line but I think plays the devils advocate quite well.
I often cringe a bit when I read his posts but I always read them.

Just yesterday I wish my Wildcat had that gauge in place. I buggered up my HS adjuster and replaced it and was adjusting it shooting through the chrony. My velocities even before installing the new HS adjuster had fallen off about 15-20 fps. Yesterday I was thinking, should I dump all the air and hook up my test gauge to confirm the regulator was doing it's job and was still set to where I left it the last time I tweaked it. I decided to leave it be for the time being but it sure would have been nice to just glance at a installed regulator gauge and confirm what's it set at. As stated above "Incorrect statement sirk, it is an indication of regulator op’s. Troubleshooting device at minimum", this holds very true.

Monkyshine. That’s just cool. I’ve gotten so fired up over the wildcat just ordered a .177 to go along with my 22 and 25. Plan is to put the new reg and gauge like you have done, install a 22 moderator, polish the barrel to the max with Flitz and start tuning for a 25m gun. Want to shoot the heaviest pellet I can accurately. Also going to order an Edgun pressure gauge. Sounds like a worthy project. AOA sold me a Mk-I with a walnut stock shipped free for a great deal. Been a bit tardy on follow up testing of this Huma regulator in the wildcat. I have been on my Bobcat regularly for this Iguana hunt coming up in five days. I let the wildcat sit eight days at 230 bar reg gauge at 150 bar. After eight days reg was at 155 bar. First shot at 764 fps second at 819 then 827 and all within 14 ES afterward. Not happy with this. The FX reg took 3 shots to wake up the Huma took one shot too get ready. I want to say that this is preliminary testing and only 23 shots cold muzzle over chrony. When I get back I will do some hammer spring adjustments and see if things tighten up, also not wait eight days for first shot test. Not sure if any reg can hold that long.I will leave you guys with my testing good or bad. As for sirk's gauge position worry my Bobcat is in same spot on stock with unregulated 230 bar so did not even think of it. Don't let this post discourage anyone on Huma it already wins on shot count and adjustability! I will work with it more and get the numbers tightened up later. Wildcat is a fabulous product.
