Wildcat Mk2- doesn't need external adjusters?

Im a bit confused. So the TwistX allows barrel inserts to optimise the twist & choke for a certain pellet/slug.
But every projectile will have a different ideal velocity for accuracy. So if you change the barrel liner, won't you want to tweak the reg or hammer spring like one can do on the Impact & Crown?
Or will you just have to take the rifle apart to get at these adjustments if you change the barrel liner?

Good questions.
The fact that the Wildcat is not easily adjustable would tend to defeat the purpose of the changeable liners.
I think this is a cost saving for the producer, more than a feature for the end user.
I will guess that there will eventually be a handful of popular liner and pellet combinations that will make this an attractive feature, even on the Wildcat.

If I am right about the cost savings of the changeable liners, then i expect to see "MKII" versions of both Impact and Streamline very soon. In fact I will go as far as to say that any FX rifle that will not get the Smooth Twist X treatment, can be considered to be discontinued by FX.

I totally agree with Kaan hopefully at IWA FX will release their upcoming plans and I’m of the belief that the XBarrel sleeve barrel will become their standard in all future models and in all current models were this technology can be adapted. I am also hopeful that they will have an assortment of barrels liners in each caliber so we can get the liner that gives us the results with the specific pellets we prefer. I think it will be a whole new aspec of the hobby where we will choosing different twist rates and barrel length as tools to accomplish our shooting goals.

It is going to be interesting to see how this pans out for FX rifles which do not have the ability to easily change Regulator & Hammer Spring settings etc, because I would imagine that altering existing liners could open FX up to a maintenance/support nightmare. Each rifle undergoes accuracy testing @ 25m before they leave the factory, therefore each rifle is at a know state of performance. By allowing the switchover of new liners with differing twist rates without the ability to easily configure the rifle accordingly “in a template fashion”, could leave a number of enthusiasts in the position of purchasing liners that do not perform adequately for them and this would negatively reflect on FX.

I think they will only offer rifles for sale with limited barrel liner choices I would guess the most popular jsb in each caliber. Then you would be responsible for setting up for a different liner with other pellets hopefully they will educate us in the proper methods for making the different choice they will offer.
