Wildcat MK1 .22 Huma

This may be old news but I looked for info on what .22 Wildcat users had for velocities on a Huma regulator. All I saw was .25cal info. I have NOT adjusted the hammer spring yet. On 18gr JSB:

125 BAR yielded 886 max, 31.5fpe

120 BAR 881 max, 878 avg 31.1fpe

I have not tested for shot count yet.

Hey mate. My Wildcat Mk1 22 has a huma and it is bang on 920fps with the 18.13 at 120 bar. It has a 600mm barrel though instead of the 500mm standard because it is the Australian spec to fit within our length regulations I would assume. I think its a great thing though because it is unbelievably accurate at 34fpe and at such a low reg pressure. Also the shot count is great due to the longer barrel efficiency and it takes longer to drop off the low reg pressure. Interesting to see how it compares to yours.

DuncanHynes, I wouldn't touch anything if I were you...880 ft/s is a very accurate velocity for the 18 gr. JSB's and you will never tune your rifle to achieve better extreme spread & standard deviation than it is now...if you mess around with it you may lose what you have and wish you could get it back. I am very happy that you posted those numbers because I know some people were skeptical when I posted numbers like that in the past. As a matter of fact, my old Wildcat .25 Original is shooting the 34 gr. JSB MKI pellets at 895 ft/s with and extreme spread of 4 ft/s and a standard deviation of 1.2 - I bet your rifle is a tack driver in her current configuration. 😃
