Wildcat is in !!!

Nice reviews! I have One question : can you load a magazine full of pellets , then disengage the trigger when pushing back the cock lever ?The wildcat is then not cocked. The idea is to store it uncocked , but the magazine inserted and ready for action . You understand I do not fully trust the mechanical safety lever. Problem is : a pellet is inserted in the barrel when doing this procedure. Does this mean that next time you cock it you insert a second pellet in the barrel ?...

You would have to place an empty magazine chamber under the pellet drive. As you pull back on the cocking mechanism, pull the trigger, and release the cocking mechanism forward to de-cock it, The drive would push forward on an empty chamber and sit closed. Now, when ready, just cock it a full cycle and it will seat a new pellet. You would have -1 pellet in your mag while stored, and you would have to know the rotation/seating position of the mag, to do it safe, so you didn't accidentally load a pellet on de-cocking because when you recycled it when ready you would double load it. Hope I explained it clear.

I am pretty envious of you two that got your wildcats in this shipment.
I am in New Zealand and you need a fire arms licence to purchase any pcp air rifle.
I paid for the last Wildcat in .25 from the first shipment into the country and am now into my 3rd week of waiting for the licence process!
I have passed my hunter safety and tomorrow the "compliance officer" will come to my home and make sure I have a locking gun safe and interview myself and my wife.
Then he will interview my non related character witness.
I have been told that then if all good it goes to central govt and can be another 5 weeks to issue a card.
Luckily the vendor will keep the gun for me as long as it takes which is cool of him.
In the interim I have a new scope sitting here and adjustable mounts in transit in preparation for that far off day.............................................

Austin, I read this at 0300 hours, Not sure your meaning. You being sarcastic/funny, or ????

"Thank you for the perfect explanation on uncocking the wildcat. Now, I wonder what is the best way to count the 8 pellets per mag (taking into account I cannot count up to more than 3

I hate the moment when you felt you had a perfect shot and finally only threw some air in the air

Frustrating but worth the wait so far. I just shot a 3/8, 50 yard group with AA Fields. Ill never do that again!! I was told a month when ordering, then they decided to ship the Impacts instead of Wildcats, and I was told another two weeks, Then all that came in was .25s and I was told another two weeks, And low and behold its in my greedy little hands now. Picked up JSB 18s to test tomorrow. They were the top pellet at 25 yard and 35 yards. Well see how they do at 50 and 75 tomorrow. Cant blame AOA, they can only sell what they get in.

Thank you for the hint of refilling the mag directly when installed . It works great for bench rest use in my opinion . On the go for hunting I would still go for changing the whole mag when empty.

another question of interest for the community : to get full power , do you tighten the power screw all the way or not ? Mundilar (Portugal) recommended me to untighten it of one full turn (360degree) in the end. In parallel , I made a few chrony with a combro and I witness an average of 250 m/s i.e. 820 fps. Seems pretty weak no ?
