Great story, you are a big hearted guy...and so glad you got your Wildcat and other stuff back. You should start checking all the pawn shops in your area to see if any of them have taken in a compressor lately.Â

Glad you got your stuff back. I was lucky getting some stuff back one time too, it's a great feeling. If you do send him to jail, don't feel bad, you didn't do anything wrong, he did. Maybe he can get clean and rethink his life in those 6-9 months. Ya never know? Happy for you man!

Wow, that's fantastic! You got to feel sorry for the Mom. The kid, not so much. Maybe a little jail/rehab time can allow him to a least consider a better life plan.

That compressor got sold or is in that kids beat up car with retreads for the sole purpose of airing up his tires, as that’s what he thinks it’s use is for. Probably looked at it with his mouth wide open and eyelids flickering, all dumbfounded looking, when he went to use it and it had no Schrader valve connection at the end of the fill whip. When the cops go to arrest him, ask that they look in the trunk. I bet you it’s in there along with other stolen tools.
if it were me, I’d get his a$$ thrown in jail, and know that each night when I sleep peacefully he’s not sleeping so peacefully, but instead getting violated in the worse way. He’ll think twice the next time he decides to steal something to feed that habit.

I would definitely get law enforcement involved. He probably has been stealing from others for a long time and mom has been covering for him. If you expect him to repay you for your losses, he will just steal it from someone else and the cycle continues. Jail time just may straiten him out. TOUGH LOVE BROTHER.

With What his mom confided, he’s a 31 year old with 1 strike. He’s been in and out of JUVE, Jail and prison starting at the age of 12. I honestly, don’t think this guy is going to learn from going to jail. He’s what we call, career criminal. When he’s caught, he’ll be looking at 16mo and a Class C Felony.
Agreed! Now to find one that’ll fit in the back of a 1998 4Runner. Better yet, one that is modular and can be detached from WITHIN the box. Low profile, sleeping platform. For those truck camping outings.

My window was fixed within 4 hours of leaving The Dalles. My buddy owns a 80’s-2000’s Toyota wrecking yard. Called him when I was underway and linked up at the yard. 10 minutes, sealant and some guitar wire, I had a “new” window in.
I agree. If that would have happened at my house...one: the person would need some Huevos the size of Texas to come up my driveway (4 miles of forest) with “we believe in 19911, not 911” signs all up and down the drive. Haha Two: we shoot on sight and drag them into the house.Â
Yes, down in central Oregon. There ground squirrels pretty much anywhere on the Eastside. But for some potguts, you need a certain kind of habitat.

I feel like we owe it to our neighbors to punish criminals by all legal means. Who knows what he will do to the next person. It's like catching an alligator in a public swimming pool and then releasing it back into the same pool.
