The Wildcat cocking lever uses a small screw that bottoms out when closed, on both my Wildcats I've had to adjust this screw out as the screw "digs" into the soft aluminum, the handle started to hit the stock when shooting fast. I found some semi-soft plastic tubing while cleaning house, it measures .150" OD and about .100 ID, I just cut a small piece that is somewhat longer than the screw, pressed it on and it is a nice "shock absorber". The screw may have to be adjusted a little to get the handle to close, I didn't have to touch either of mine, I 
wish I would have done this when guns were new!
