Wow! Thanks for the very detailed write up. It definitely has a glow to it and not a shine. It turned out perfect really. I like the idea of reinforcing the screw holes with cups. I may do that to mine at some point.
When you sweated the factory oil out, did very much come out?
My Streamline stock seemed very dry. I’m curious as to how much actually would have come out had I tried doing that.
Earlier today I was surfing the web for images and I ran across this one. I really like the grip cap and the angular grip. I was thinking about adding a grip cap and reshaping the grip OR stippling it and painting it black (just the grip). I am already thinking about how I can make it unique for myself.

That looks great Chuck, that finish really brought out the grain that probably wasn't that pronounced before. I also like the medium satin that it turned out with. Not to blingy and not to dull. Nice job...
