Now that the new years is upon us, it's time to have a laugh and make some wild predictions for the 2020 and beyond. Some are real, some are completely fake and some are just fun, So Here's mine
1 Lego guns will appear at two vendors allowing us to pick our next airgun by choosing a barrel caliber, length and pellet or slug specific. Then choose a receiver , stock style and type, a bag of 3 transfer ports in .5 mm steps, a bag of 3 trigger springs either a hunter asst or a bench rest asst. Finally you would choose air tube or bottle and regulator.
2. The previous $650~750 bullpup/carbine/carbine mini will finally get in all the airguns stock at multiple vendors and the price will drop to $500 in the "price wars".
3 The above will $500 price wars will cost most of us more than when they were $650, because the bargain hunter in all of us causes most to buy an additional two $500 guns as opposed to the one at $650....and another scope....and 3 more mags.
4.The Russians will finally find the maximum Americans will pay for a good bullpup.
5 JSAR will join the ranks of high end manufacturers and catch up with back orders.
6.The JSAR/ Xisico compressor arrival date will be pushed back to October.
7. Gamo will release a new 1700 FPS rated break-barrel with an all plastic barrel, (no metal liner) an increased 20 shot mag feed. (replacement barrels will still only be available to FFl licensed dealers) .
8. Crosman will respond to the new 1700 FPS Gamo by releasing their own Raven 2 with a 25 shot mag, also rated at 1700FPS. (Must be used with digital camera sight with a mini-cam on the tip of the barrel).
9. Umarex will produce a new "Deep Woods Hunter" variant of Gauntlet by increasing the barrel length to 900mm. The P17 will also be updated with a new trigger that adds 5 additional pieces to the trigger linkage.
10. Three new companies will come seemingly out of nowhere and become air-gunning legends.
The first, some may already know, AEA/Listone airguns. These guys have actually produced 3 models. There is hope others will show up in real life too.
The second will be Cometa, who will come from the back alleys of Spain to make break barrels that show Gamo "what could have been" if somebody cared about quality control.
The third will be Reximex who will truly make an impact in the $500 PCP market.
11. Umarex will finally sell us the Gauntlet Bullpup we have been waiting 3 years for..............................No, just kidding, You have to buy this one from AEA as well.
